Rippling
by Rippling
Workforce platform combining HR, payroll, IT device and identity management and finance in one system, with global payroll, contractor and employer of record offerings. No UAE or GCC payroll is named.
What it is
Rippling differs from most products in this category by bundling three things normally bought separately: HR and payroll, IT management covering device and identity provisioning, and finance covering expenses, corporate cards and bill pay. The pitch is that employee data entered once drives all three, so onboarding a new hire also issues the laptop and the software accounts.
Verified HR capabilities on the vendor site include HRIS employee records, payroll, time and attendance with scheduling, recruitment, performance, a learning management system, benefits administration including global benefits, and automated compliance under the IT heading. Mobile apps are published for iOS and Android, and the developer hub documents a REST API reference with a quickstart, API tokens and OAuth 2.0.
On UAE and GCC payroll there is nothing. Neither the Rippling homepage nor its global payroll page names the UAE, the GCC or the Gulf anywhere. The only country lists that appear cover Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, France, Germany, Brazil, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland. A global payroll offering without the UAE named is not evidence for the UAE, and the Wage Protection System is never mentioned.
Pricing is modular and charged per product, per employee per month, plus a monthly base fee. Rippling publishes a starting figure: plans start at 8 per employee per month with a monthly base fee. The page prints a bare dollar sign with no ISO code, so USD is inferred from Rippling being a US headquartered vendor rather than stated. There is no free tier; a six month free offer for eligible US venture backed startups is a marketing programme rather than a free version. No free trial is listed, only a demo request.

Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.

| Note | Rippling states plans start at 8 per employee per month with a monthly base fee. The page prints a bare dollar sign with no ISO code, so USD is inferred from Rippling being a US headquartered vendor and is not vendor stated. Pricing is modular per product, so the real cost depends on which modules are bought and is not published. Strengths and limitations
Strengths
- Bundling HR with device and identity provisioning genuinely removes work for companies with no dedicated IT function, which no pure HRIS in this category does. editorial
Limitations
- No UAE, GCC or Gulf payroll is named anywhere on the vendor site, and the named country list does not include any Gulf state. verified source
- The integrations page names almost no specific integration, so integration breadth cannot be confirmed before a sales conversation. verified source
- Only a starting price is published. Because pricing is modular per product plus a base fee, the total cost is not derivable from public information. verified source
Who it suits
Organisation sizes: Small, Medium
Rippling suits small to mid sized, mostly US centred companies that want to collapse HR, IT provisioning and spend management into one admin surface. For a company of 50 to 500 people with no dedicated IT function, the device and app provisioning side is the genuine differentiator and is worth more than another HRIS feature comparison would suggest.
For a UAE or Gulf buyer, Rippling is poorly evidenced and probably not the right tool. There is no named UAE payroll, no WPS mention, and its country guide coverage does not extend to the Gulf. The IT and finance bundling that makes it compelling in the US does not compensate for an unverifiable payroll position in the region where you have to file.
Evaluators should also know that the Rippling integrations page is marketing copy rather than an app catalogue: almost no specific integration is named on it, so integration breadth cannot be confirmed before a sales conversation despite the platform story depending on integrations. Only Slack, in a workflow example, and the REST API could be verified.
Typical use cases: US small and mid sized companies consolidating HR, IT and spend; fast growing startups wanting automated onboarding and offboarding across software accounts and devices. Less typical: Gulf employers needing statutory payroll, large enterprises with established IT management stacks, and buyers who need a firm total cost before engaging sales.

Frequently asked questions
There is no evidence that it does. Rippling markets global payroll but does not name the UAE, the GCC or the Gulf anywhere on its site, and the Wage Protection System is never mentioned. The countries it does name are in North America, Europe, Latin America, Australia and India. Recorded as unknown.
Rippling states that plans start at 8 per employee per month plus a monthly base fee. The page prints a bare dollar sign, so the currency is inferred as US dollars rather than stated. Because the platform is sold in modules, the actual cost depends on which products you take and is not published.
