Octave Attune EAM
by Octave
Cloud enterprise asset management for fleets, facilities, equipment and linear assets, sold previously as Infor EAM and then HxGN EAM, now owned by Octave.
What it is
This is the product many buyers still call Infor EAM, and some call HxGN EAM. The lineage is one continuous line: Infor sold the business to Hexagon in October 2021, Hexagon spun its software divisions out as Octave Intelligence in May 2026, and the product was rebranded Attune EAM. If you are comparing quotes against an incumbent, check which name the paperwork uses.
Functionally it is a genuine enterprise EAM with unusual breadth in one product: asset, work, inventory and procurement, plus fleet, linear and geospatial assets and 2D CAD and 3D digital twin handling. The procurement depth, requisitions through purchase orders with a SAP-certified S/4HANA integration, is what distinguishes it from CMMS products that stop at a parts list.
The caution is organisational rather than technical. Two ownership changes in five years is a lot of churn for a system you expect to run for a decade, and the transition is still visible: documentation, training and community all remain on Hexagon domains, and the product page's own documentation link was broken when we checked it.
Capabilities
Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.
| Capability | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Asset register and hierarchy Parent-child asset structure with locations and equipment, not a flat list. | Yes | source |
| Work order management Creation, assignment, approval and closure of work orders. | Yes | Automated work orders, field data capture, labour scheduling and built-in calibration. source |
| Predictive or condition-based maintenance Condition monitoring or failure prediction functions in the product itself. | Yes | Condition-based progression is in EAM; the deeper predictive and risk functions sit in the separate Attune APM product. source |
| Mobile technician app A native mobile app for technicians, with offline capability where stated. | Yes | iOS and Android with genuine offline work execution. The desktop client requires continuous connectivity. source |
| Spare parts and inventory Storerooms, stock levels, reorder points and parts issued to work orders. | Yes | source |
| Procurement and purchase orders Purchase requisitions and purchase orders raised inside the system. | Yes | Requisitions, quotes and purchase orders in the product. source |
| Multi-site operation Multiple facilities, plants or sites in one instance with separable data. | Yes | The vendor states it supports a single site or dozens. source |
| IoT and BMS integration Sensor, condition or building-management-system data reaching the system. | Yes | Integration with sensors and IoT platforms is documented. A building-management-system connector is not. source |
| Maintenance KPI reporting MTBF, MTTR, downtime, schedule compliance and maintenance cost reporting. | Yes | Asset dashboard analytics and enterprise reporting. source |
| Documented API A publicly documented API, which is what makes every other integration possible. | Yes | REST and SOAP services with OpenAPI documentation, three authentication modes and a sandbox environment. source |
| Preventive maintenance scheduling Calendar, meter and usage-based schedule generation. | Not verified | |
| Asset lifecycle and cost tracking Cost accumulated against an asset from acquisition through to retirement. | Not verified | |
| Contractor management External contractors and vendor workflows, not just internal technicians. | Not verified |

Licensing and pricing
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Licensing model | Commercial |
| Free version | No |
| Trial available | No |
| Published price | Contact vendor for pricing |
| Note | No price is published. There is no pricing page and the vendor routes buyers to sales. Two figures circulate and neither is a list price: the AWS Marketplace listing shows USD 4,032 for 36 months but states on the same page that purchase is only transactable via a private offer and that pricing depends on requirements, and the UK G-Cloud listing publishes volume discount bands rather than a unit rate. The vendor also states there is no free trial, and the AWS listing carries a five-licence minimum, so evaluation requires a sales engagement. |

Prices move and discounting is common. Treat anything here as a starting point and confirm with the vendor before budgeting.
Strengths and limitations
Strengths
- Documented, standards-based API: REST and SOAP, OpenAPI specifications, a sandbox environment and multiple authentication modes. verified source
- Genuine offline mobile execution for field teams on iOS and Android. verified source
- SAP-certified S/4HANA integration covering requisitions, purchase orders, receipts and invoices, plus Workday. verified source
- Unusual breadth in one product: asset, work, inventory and procurement plus fleet, linear and geospatial assets and digital twins. verified source
Limitations
- No free trial at all, and the AWS route is private-offer only with a five-licence minimum, so evaluation requires a sales engagement. verified source
- Two ownership changes in five years, and the transition is still visible: documentation and training remain on Hexagon domains and the product page's own documentation link was broken when we checked. Expect continued brand and URL drift. verified source
- A dense interface with a real learning curve. This is a recurring theme in public user reviews rather than our own testing, but it is consistent enough to plan training around. editorial
Who it suits
Organisation sizes: Medium, Enterprise
A strong fit for asset-intensive operations that need procurement and maintenance in the same system, and for anyone managing linear or geospatial assets, where it is better equipped than most. The offline mobile execution is real rather than marketing, which matters for field-heavy work.
Harder to justify where you want to evaluate before committing. There is no trial, the AWS route is private-offer only with a five-licence minimum, and nothing is published on price. If your procurement process needs a figure before a sales conversation, start elsewhere.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, it is the same product line under its third owner. Infor sold the EAM business to Hexagon, completing on 1 October 2021, and it was renamed HxGN EAM. Hexagon then spun its software businesses out as Octave Intelligence, listed in May 2026, and the product became Octave Attune EAM. Infor retained a minority stake and a reseller relationship but no longer sells an EAM of its own. Our earlier analysis of that deal is in Infor EAM vs Hexagon EAM.
We could not establish this, and we are not going to guess. The vendor's own G-Cloud listing says deployment options include on-premises in one place and "no customer-hosted servers needed" in another, and the product page mentions cloud only. If on-premises is a hard requirement, get it in writing before shortlisting.
They are the two most direct competitors in enterprise EAM, and the choice usually turns on procurement depth, linear asset handling and incumbent relationships rather than on a feature gap. Our side-by-side is at Maximo vs Octave Attune EAM, and the practitioner view of the platform is in introduction to Hexagon EAM.
