Octave Attune EAM Alternatives

Most people reaching this page are existing Infor EAM or HxGN EAM customers facing a renewal under a third owner in five years, and that is a legitimate reason to look around. The product itself is capable; the concerns are usually continuity, the absence of any trial or published price, and the broken documentation trail still pointing at Hexagon domains.

Before migrating, weigh the cost honestly. Re-platforming an enterprise asset register is a multi-year exercise and the incumbent advantage is substantial. Switch because a requirement is unmet, not because the logo changed.

The alternatives, and why they are here

Selected on capability and use case rather than on sharing a category label. Each entry says what actually differs.

IBM Maximo Application Suite

IBM

View profile

IBM's enterprise asset management suite, combining maintenance, inspection, reliability and asset performance management, deployable as SaaS or on your own infrastructure.

Why consider it: The obvious like-for-like move: comparable or greater scope, documented cloud, on-premises and hybrid deployment, a published entry price and a guided trial, and one owner throughout its history.

  • Commercial
  • Enterprise asset management
  • USD 40,000 per year (Maximo Application Suite Essentials, Maintenance, from 150 AppPoints; IBM publishes this as "starting under")

IFS Cloud EAM

IFS

View profile

IFS's enterprise asset management on the IFS Cloud platform, covering the asset lifecycle in asset-intensive industries, with the same functionality across cloud and on-premises.

Why consider it: A Tier 1 alternative with strong deployment mobility. Note that IFS also sells Ultimo and Copperleaf, so establish which product a quote covers before comparing.

SAP S/4HANA Asset Management

SAP

View profile

SAP's asset maintenance capability inside S/4HANA, the successor to ECC Plant Maintenance, surrounded by Asset Performance Management and mobile field execution apps.

Why consider it: Relevant chiefly if you are an S/4HANA shop. Attune EAM already offers a SAP-certified integration, so this is only worth the move if you want maintenance inside the ERP rather than integrated with it.

IFS Ultimo

IFS

View profile

IFS's mid-market enterprise asset management product, acquired in 2022 and sold separately from IFS Cloud EAM, with maintenance, fleet, HSE and operations modules.

Why consider it: A plausible downshift for mid-sized sites currently running an enterprise platform they do not fully use, with a five-user entry point and fleet and safety modules included.

  • Hybrid EAM and CMMS

eMaint CMMS

Fluke Reliability

View profile

Cloud CMMS and EAM from eMaint, part of Fluke Reliability, with asset hierarchies, condition monitoring, fully offline mobile and a documented REST API.

Why consider it: A credible move down a tier where procurement depth is not the requirement but contractor workflows, condition monitoring and regulated-industry features are.

What this page is not

This is not a ranking and there is no single best alternative. The right choice depends on what you are replacing and why, which is why each entry states a specific reason rather than a score. Capability values come from each product's structured profile, where anything unverified is labelled as such rather than assumed.
