What it is

Skedda publishes genuine pricing, which puts it in a small minority in this category, and its pricing model is unusual in a way that matters commercially: it charges per bookable space, not per user. Each plan bundles an included number of spaces.

The published plans are regionalised. For the United States and Canada: Plus starting at 249 per month with 35 spaces included, and Premier starting at 349 per month with 45 spaces included. For EMEA and APAC: Starter starting at 99 per month with 15 spaces, Plus starting at 149 per month with 20 spaces, and Premier starting at 199 per month with 25 spaces. Enterprise is custom, and a separate AllBooked offering is quote only. All listed plans are billed annually and all figures are printed with a bare dollar symbol and no ISO currency code, so the currency is inferred as USD from the symbol and the United States and Canada regional heading. Note also that every figure is prefixed "Starting at", so these are floors rather than quotes.

There is no free plan. The FAQ describes a free 14-day Premium trial with no payment method required, which is a trial rather than a free tier.

On integrations Skedda is reasonably open but its Microsoft story is weaker than it first looks, and this is the key finding for a buyer in this category. The integrations page says that "Outlook calendar syncs with Skedda for real-time availability and scheduling", and lists Microsoft Teams as a direct integration. What it does not say anywhere is that users can create, cancel or manage bookings from within Outlook or Teams. The same applies to Google Workspace, where calendar management is described but booking from Google Calendar is not, and to Slack, which surfaces hybrid schedule information. Read carefully, Skedda documents calendar sync, not calendar-native booking. For organisations whose entire adoption plan rests on employees never leaving Outlook, that distinction is decisive and must be tested in the trial.

Beyond calendars, Skedda lists SSO via Okta, OneLogin, Microsoft Entra ID and JumpCloud, webhooks for connecting to any app with an open API, Zapier for no-code automation, Google Sheets for writing new bookings to a spreadsheet, and links to API documentation for booking data. Other listed integrations include Zoom, Webex, ServiceNow, Stripe, Xero, QuickBooks, Kisi, Logitech Tap Scheduler, Trello and an embeddable website scheduler. SCIM, SAML by name, Excel, Power BI and sensors are not mentioned.

Capabilities

Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.

CapabilityStatusNotes
Documented API A publicly documented API for integration. Yes The integrations page links to API documentation and promotes a Skedda API for booking data. It does not describe the API as REST. source
Outlook and Teams integration Booking and cancelling correctly from Outlook or Teams. Yes Important caveat. Skedda states Outlook calendar syncs with Skedda for real-time availability and scheduling, and lists Microsoft Teams as a direct integration, but nowhere states that users can create, cancel or manage bookings from within Outlook or Teams. What is documented is calendar sync, not calendar-native booking. Recurring meeting handling is not described. source
Hybrid work scheduling Coordinating who is in the office on which days. Yes The Slack integration brings hybrid work schedule information into Slack, which implies hybrid schedules exist in the product. source
Meeting room booking Reserving meeting rooms, with calendar integration. Yes Room displays via Logitech Tap Scheduler and tablet displays are listed. source
Desk booking Reserving desks, including hot desking and neighbourhoods. Yes Core product; plans are priced by number of bookable spaces. source
Multi-site support Managing many locations, time zones and policies. Not verified No explicit multi-site statement found.
Mobile app A mobile application for booking and workplace services. Not verified Not described on the pages read.
Wayfinding Helping people navigate to a space, desk or colleague. Not verified Not described.
Utilisation reporting Reporting on space utilisation for real estate decisions. Not verified Not described. An API for booking data and a Google Sheets export are offered, which suggests reporting may be done externally.
Sensor integration Integrating occupancy or environmental sensors. Not verified Sensors are not mentioned on the integrations page.
Workplace experience app An employee-facing app aggregating workplace services. Not verified Not described.
Visitor management Visitor registration, hosting and sign-in. Not verified Not described on the pages read.
Occupancy analytics Analysing how space is actually occupied over time. Not verified Not described on the pages read.
Space allocation and planning Allocating space to teams and planning moves and chargeback. Not verified Not described.
Interactive floor plans Interactive plans for finding and selecting space. Not verified No floor plan statement found on the pages read.

Published priceUSD 99 per month from, Starter EMEA and APAC, 15 spaces included, billed annually
NoteSkedda publishes regional per-space pricing, all billed annually and all prefixed "Starting at". United States and Canada: Plus 249 per month with 35 spaces included; Premier 349 per month with 45 spaces; Enterprise custom. EMEA and APAC: Starter 99 per month with 15 spaces; Plus 149 per month with 20 spaces; Premier 199 per month with 25 spaces. A separate AllBooked offering is quote only in both regions. CURRENCY IS INFERRED: every figure is printed with a bare dollar symbol and no ISO code. USD is inferred from the symbol together with the explicit United States and Canada regional heading. The EMEA and APAC figures carry the same bare dollar symbol, so those are also recorded as USD by inference and should be confirmed with Skedda. No free plan; the FAQ describes a free 14-day Premium trial with no payment method required.

Strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • Publishes real plan pricing with included space counts, and charges per bookable space rather than per user, which is dramatically cheaper for organisations with few spaces and many people. verified source

Limitations

  • The Microsoft integration is documented as calendar sync for real-time availability, not as the ability to create or cancel bookings from inside Outlook or Teams. Buyers relying on calendar-native booking must test this during the trial. verified source
  • Not a space management tool. Floor plan planning, space allocation, chargeback, sensors and occupancy counting are all absent from the published material. editorial
  • Prices are printed with a bare dollar symbol and no ISO currency code, and every figure is a "Starting at" floor rather than a quote. verified source

Who it suits

Organisation sizes: Small, Medium, Enterprise

Skedda is the strongest fit in this set for an organisation with a small number of bookable spaces and a large number of people. Per-space pricing means a 500-person company with 30 bookable rooms pays for 30 spaces, where a per-user competitor would charge for 500 seats. Coworking operators, community and sports facilities, universities booking studios and labs, and offices with a handful of shared rooms all benefit from this shape. The embeddable website scheduler and the Stripe, Xero and QuickBooks integrations also point clearly at operators who charge external parties for space.

The model inverts badly if you have many bookable desks. An organisation hot-desking 400 individual desks will find per-space pricing expensive against deskbird at a few dollars per active user per month. Count your spaces before comparing.

The regional pricing is worth noticing too: the EMEA and APAC plans start lower and include fewer spaces than the United States and Canada plans, so your location changes both the entry price and what you get for it.

Do not buy Skedda for space management. There is no evidence of floor plan editing at a planning level, space allocation, chargeback, sensors or occupancy counting. It is a booking engine, and honest about being one.

Typical use cases: coworking and shared workspace operators billing members, community and education facilities booking rooms and courts, and offices with a modest set of shared meeting rooms wanting published pricing and a self-serve trial.

Alternatives

deskbird deskbird The right swap when the per-space model works against you, which it does as soon as you have many bookable desks. deskbird charges per active user from USD 3.75 and EUR 2.75 per month annually, and crucially names both Outlook and Teams explicitly, native in MS Teams with a separate Outlook add-in, where Skedda documents only calendar sync for availability. Also adds SCIM, SAML 2.0, FIDO2 and HRIS integrations. Minimum 25 users on the Business plan.
Joan Visionect d.o.o. Also publishes pricing and also suits a small bookable estate, but priced on devices rather than spaces: plans bundle users and devices, extra devices cost roughly ten times extra users, and a 30-day free trial is offered against Skedda 14 days. Best where room displays matter and cabling does not exist, since e-paper panels need no mains power. What does not carry over is the integration evidence: Joan has no published Outlook or Teams statement at all, and no API, SSO or webhook evidence either.
Envoy Workplace Envoy The other genuinely budgetable option, priced per bookable resource at USD 5 per month annually rather than per space in bundled tiers, with a real free Visitors Basic plan. Adds visitor and contractor screening, interactive live maps, deliveries and room screens, none of which Skedda describes, and states that bookings can start from calendar invites. What does not carry over: module prices exclude an undisclosed platform fee, and per-location Visitors pricing punishes many small sites.
Microsoft Places Microsoft The answer if the reason you are looking past Skedda is the Outlook question. Places is the only product here with verified calendar-native booking, embedded in Teams and Outlook, and core features ship with most Microsoft 365 plans so may cost nothing incremental. What does not carry over: individual desk booking needs a space licence per desk at a price Microsoft does not publish, setup is PowerShell-based Exchange administration, and there is no equivalent of the Skedda embeddable scheduler or Stripe and Xero billing integrations.
WorkInSync MoveInSync Cheaper again if headcount is the constraint, at a published 1.79 per user per month on the Standard plan billed annually. Two warnings. The currency is inferred from a bare dollar symbol with no ISO code and no regional heading, and the vendor MoveInSync is India-based, making this the weakest currency inference in the set. And nothing else carries over on evidence: only the pricing page was verified, so every capability including Outlook and Teams behaviour is unverified, and trials run only on Enterprise for 7 days.

Frequently asked questions

Per bookable space, not per user, billed annually, with plans bundling an included number of spaces. EMEA and APAC plans start at 99 per month for 15 spaces; United States and Canada plans start at 249 per month for 35 spaces. Figures are printed with a bare dollar symbol and no ISO code, so the currency is inferred as USD.

Skedda documents Outlook calendar sync for real-time availability and scheduling, and lists Microsoft Teams as an integration, but it does not state that bookings can be created or cancelled from inside Outlook or Teams. Treat calendar-native booking as unverified and test it in the 14-day trial.

No. There is a free 14-day Premium trial with no payment method required, which is a trial rather than a free tier.
