What it is

Jobber is a complete back office for a small contractor, not a scheduling layer over another system. The whole loop sits in one product: send a quote, schedule the visit, route the crew, invoice when the job is done, take payment. Accounting is pushed out to QuickBooks or Xero rather than handled inside, which is the opposite of the Skedulo and Praxedo pattern; here Jobber is the operational system of record and the accounting package is downstream.

Pricing is fully published and genuinely self-serve. It is a matrix of plan by team size by commitment length rather than a simple ladder. The floor of the whole matrix is 29 per month for Core with 1 user when billed annually, rising to 39 on a one-year commitment and 49 with no commitment. Connect runs 99 to 299 annually depending on team size, Grow 149 to 399, and Plus 399 to 529. Extra users are 29 per month each. Jobber states savings of up to 25 percent with annual billing. The currency is a bare dollar sign with no ISO code, so USD is inferred from the US-targeted dot-com page; Jobber is a Canadian company and Canadian pricing may exist on other locale paths. There is a 14-day trial with full access to Grow plan features and no credit card required. There is no free plan.

  • Offline working is genuinely unresolved on Jobber own sources, which is why this profile records it as unknown. A Jobber product update dated 18 March 2026 is titled Keep working in Jobber, even without internet, and opens by referencing basements, new-build sites and rural areas. But a Jobber Support Team reply on Jobber own community states the app does not support offline capabilities, with the exception of internal notes, and that files cannot be attached offline. The help centre separately states that to use both the app and the website you do need an internet connection. The support and help content may predate the March 2026 release, but the product update page itself returned 403 and the help centre still carries the contradicting text, so the honest answer is unknown. Anyone buying for low-coverage work must verify this directly with Jobber.
  • A real GraphQL API, which is rare at this price point. Jobber operates a public Developer Center documenting OAuth 2.0 bearer tokens, a required GraphQL version header, Relay-style cursor pagination and published rate-limit rules including query-cost calculation. Note it is GraphQL, not REST.
  • Published plans stop at 15 users, above which the page routes to Contact Sales.
  • Jobber own pricing page contradicts itself on the Plus tier, with the plan wizard showing Plus starting at 399 per month including 15 users while the table lists 529 per month for Plus at 15 users billed annually. Confirm in-cart.

Capabilities

Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.

Offline working Creating and completing work with no connectivity, and syncing on reconnection. Not verified CONTRADICTION, recorded deliberately. A Jobber product update dated 18 March 2026 is titled Keep working in Jobber, even without internet. But a Jobber Support Team reply on Jobber own community states the app does not support offline capabilities, with the exception of internal notes, and that files cannot be attached offline, and the help centre states that to use both the app and the website you do need an internet connection. The product update page returned 403 so its actual shipped scope could not be established. Verify directly with Jobber before buying for low-coverage work.

NoteCURRENCY IS INFERRED. The page prints a bare dollar sign with no ISO code; USD is inferred from the US-targeted dot-com pricing page. Jobber is a Canadian company serving Canada as well, so CAD pricing may exist on other locale paths. Pricing is a matrix of plan by user count by commitment, with three billing variants per cell: no commitment, one-year commitment, and billed annually. Core 1 user: 49 / 39 / 29. Connect 1 user: 139 / 119 / 99, rising to 399 / 339 / 299 at 15 users. Grow 1 user: 199 / 169 / 149, rising to 499 / 429 / 399 at 15 users. Plus 5 users: 499 / 439 / 399, rising to 699 / 599 / 529 at 15 users. Extra users 29 per month each. Jobber states savings of up to 25 percent with annual billing. Published plans stop at 15 users; larger teams route to Contact Sales. Free trial is 14 days with full access to Grow plan features and no credit card required. VENDOR INCONSISTENCY: the plan wizard shows Plus starting at 399 per month including 15 users, while the table lists 529 for Plus at 15 users billed annually. free_version is recorded no on the basis of a complete published plan set with no free tier and an explicitly time-limited trial; if an explicit vendor denial is required, downgrade to unknown.

Strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • Fully transparent self-serve pricing matrix across plan, team size and commitment length, with a published 29 per month rate for extra users. verified source
  • A 14-day free trial with no credit card required and full access to Grow plan features. verified source
  • Complete quote, schedule, route, invoice and payment loop plus a customer-facing Client Hub portal in one product. verified source
  • A real documented GraphQL API with a version header, OAuth 2.0, cursor pagination and published rate-limit rules, rare in the small-contractor tier. verified source

Limitations

  • Offline working is unresolved on Jobber own sources: a March 2026 update titled Keep working in Jobber, even without internet coexists with a support statement that the app does not support offline capabilities except internal notes. verified source
  • Published plans stop at 15 users, so larger field teams leave the self-serve model and must contact sales. verified source
  • Accounting sync is one-way out of Jobber with named gaps: Jobber Payments tips do not sync to Xero and overpayments must be reconciled by hand. verified source
  • No ERP-grade integration was found, so it is not a fit where the field app must feed a corporate finance system. editorial

Who it suits

Organisation sizes: Small

Good fit: small home-service and trades businesses, from a single operator up to about 15 users, that want one product covering quote to cash and are happy for accounting to live in QuickBooks or Xero. The published matrix pricing, 14-day no-card trial and self-serve signup make it unusually easy to evaluate without talking to anyone, which is worth real money when you are the owner-operator doing the evaluation in the evening. Plumbers, electricians, landscapers and similar trades are the named audience. The documented GraphQL API also makes it a reasonable choice for a small business with a developer who wants to automate something.

Poor fit: field teams larger than 15 users, who leave the self-serve model entirely. Also a poor fit where the field app must feed a corporate ERP: no SAP, Oracle, Business Central or NetSuite connectors were found, and accounting sync is one-way out of Jobber with named gaps, since Jobber Payments tips do not sync to Xero and overpayments must be reconciled by hand. Most importantly, it is a poor fit for crews who routinely work with no signal, at least until Jobber resolves the contradiction between its March 2026 offline announcement and its own support and help content saying an internet connection is required.

Typical use cases: residential plumbing, electrical, HVAC, landscaping and cleaning businesses running a handful of crews; owner-operators who need professional quotes and fast invoicing more than they need enterprise scheduling; and small contractors who want a customer-facing portal, which Jobber calls Client Hub, without building one.

Alternatives

Housecall Pro Housecall Pro The most direct swap. Same market, same self-serve model, same 14-day no-card trial. Housecall Pro starts higher at 59 per month billed annually but includes 5 or 8 users on its upper tiers, states its currency as USD rather than leaving it inferred, and adds Recurring Service Plans. Its offline is read-only caching, with editing offline explicitly unsupported.
FieldPulse Flicent Inc. The alternative to pick if your crews lose signal. FieldPulse documents offline mechanically, switching automatically on weak signal or Airplane Mode and saving locally before syncing, where Jobber own sources contradict each other on whether offline works at all. Pricing is seat-based but quote-only.
Service Fusion Service Fusion Better economics once you have several office staff as well as technicians, since all three tiers are unlimited users from 208 per month billed annually rather than 29 per extra user. Read the tier matrix first: portal, inventory, eSign, GPS tracking and API access are add-ons or Pro-only.
FieldEdge Xplor Technologies A step up for multi-truck operations whose accounting lives in QuickBooks, with real-time two-way sync across both Desktop and Online where Jobber sync is one-way out with known gaps on tips and overpayments. No published price, and the vendor states there is no free trial.
ServiceTitan ServiceTitan, Inc. The platform to move to when you outgrow the 15-user ceiling on Jobber published plans. Far broader footprint including inventory, purchasing, job costing and payroll, plus Nasdaq filings for vendor diligence. Heavier than Jobber for the same single-truck work, and entirely quote-only.

Frequently asked questions

29 per month for Core with 1 user when billed annually, 39 on a one-year commitment, or 49 with no commitment. There is no free plan, but there is a 14-day trial with no credit card required and full access to Grow plan features. The currency is shown only as a dollar sign, so USD is inferred from the US site rather than stated.

The published matrix ends at 15 users and larger teams are directed to Contact Sales. Extra users on existing plans are 29 per month each.

Unclear from Jobber own sources, which is why this profile records offline as unknown rather than yes or no. A March 2026 Jobber update is titled Keep working in Jobber, even without internet, but a Jobber Support reply states the app does not support offline capabilities except internal notes, and the help centre says an internet connection is required. Verify with Jobber before buying for basement or rural work.
