What it is

Robin is unchanged in name and ownership: the product is Robin and the company is Robin Powered, Inc. of Boston, Massachusetts. No rename, acquisition or discontinuation was found.

The capability set described on the vendor site is broad for a booking-first product. Bookable resources extend beyond desks and rooms to lockers, parking and other resource types, which is unusual and useful for organisations with constrained parking or locker allocation. Floor plans support space management including planning office layouts and moves. Workplace analytics cover utilisation, presence and forecasting, with forecasting being the less common element. Hybrid scheduling includes team-day policies, meaning you can express a rule such as a given team being in on given days rather than only recording individual intentions. Visitor management and wayfinding are both present. There is a workplace services layer for room issue reporting and tech or AV ticket tracking, plus device monitoring and calendar health alerts, which is a genuine differentiator for anyone managing a large fleet of room displays.

On the capability that matters most here, Robin names Microsoft 365 integration with both Outlook and Teams explicitly, plus Google Calendar and Slack. That is a clearer statement than most competitors in this set manage. What the site does not do is spell out whether recurring meetings and cancellations round-trip correctly from the calendar, so the integration is recorded as yes with that caveat noted rather than as fully characterised. Robin also markets an MCP connector for booking from AI assistants, and references a developer API with documentation linked from the site, though the developer subdomain tried during this pass did not resolve.

Pricing is the surprise. Despite Robin being widely assumed to publish per-user rates, its pricing page carries no figures at all. It says only that every workplace is different and invites a form submission for tailored pricing. The one concrete commercial fact published is that all Robin subscriptions are billed annually. Neither a free plan nor a free trial is offered; the calls to action are a product tour and a demo booking.

Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.

Strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • One of the few vendors in this category to name Outlook and Teams explicitly rather than referring vaguely to Microsoft integration, alongside Google Calendar and Slack. verified source
  • Bookable resources extend to lockers and parking as well as desks and rooms, and the product includes device monitoring with calendar health alerts for room display fleets. verified source

Limitations

  • No published pricing, no free plan, no advertised trial, and annual-only billing. Robin cannot be evaluated on cost or started small without a sales conversation. verified source
  • Space planning is shallower than a dedicated portfolio tool. There is nothing published equivalent to block and stack planning, chargeback rules or BOMA area reporting. editorial

Who it suits

Organisation sizes: Medium, Enterprise

Robin suits organisations whose workplace problem is resource booking at scale with real Microsoft dependency. The explicit Outlook and Teams naming, the team-day hybrid policies, and the device monitoring and calendar health alerting together describe a product built for an estate with many meeting rooms, many displays and a Microsoft 365 tenant that matters. If you have ever had a room display drift out of calendar sync and found out from a complaint, the monitoring and alerting is worth real money.

The resource breadth also matters. If you need to allocate parking spaces or lockers alongside desks, Robin covers that natively where most competitors do not.

It is a weaker fit where deep space planning is the requirement. Robin describes floor plans and planning layouts and moves, but nothing equivalent to Serraview block and stack planning, space chargeback rules or BOMA area reporting. Portfolio and real estate teams should look at a space management product instead or as well.

It is also a poor fit for a small organisation wanting to self-serve. There is no free plan, no advertised trial, no published price, and annual-only billing. You cannot evaluate Robin on cost without talking to sales, and you cannot start small on a monthly commitment.

Typical use cases: Microsoft 365 organisations running large meeting room estates with tablet displays, hybrid desk booking with team-day attendance policies, and parking or locker allocation alongside desk booking.

Alternatives

deskbird deskbird The strongest direct swap on Microsoft evidence and the one that lets you model cost without a sales call. deskbird names Outlook and Teams explicitly, native in MS Teams with a separate Outlook add-in, and publishes USD 3.75, EUR 2.75, CHF 2.75 and GBP 2.50 per active user per month on annual billing, against Robin which publishes no figures at all. deskbird also documents SCIM, SAML 2.0 and FIDO2. What does not carry over: no lockers or parking, no published floor plans, visitor management, wayfinding or analytics, and a 25-user minimum.
Eptura Engage Eptura Comparable enterprise booking scope, formerly sold as Condeco, with interactive floorplans, administrator-set hybrid schedules, wayfinding, visitor registration, multi-location office management, workplace analytics and Android room screen apps. Both are quote only. Microsoft evidence is weaker than Robin: Eptura says only that Engage integrates with Microsoft workflows. Also watch the Eptura portfolio overlap, including the documented restriction where both Condeco and Eptura Workplace are already implemented.
Microsoft Places Microsoft The only product here with verified calendar-native booking, embedded in Teams and Outlook, with core features such as work plans and workplace presence already entitled in most Microsoft 365 plans. For a Microsoft-committed estate that is lower adoption friction than any integration. What does not carry over: no lockers or parking, no verified visitor management or wayfinding, individual desk booking needs a space licence per desk at unpublished cost, and setup is PowerShell-based Exchange administration.
Envoy Workplace Envoy Books desks, rooms and parking with interactive live maps, and is far easier to budget: published per-module USD prices with Reservations at USD 5 per bookable resource per month annually, plus a real free Visitors Basic plan, where Robin publishes nothing and bills annually only. Visitor and contractor screening is stronger. What does not carry over: no lockers, no wayfinding named, presence is derived from HRIS, WiFi and access control rather than sensors, and prices exclude an undisclosed platform fee.
Kadence Kadence Booking plus genuine space planning, and active-user billing that charges only for people who book in the month, which can be far cheaper than headcount suggests for patchy attendance. HRIS integrations with Workday, BambooHR and HiBob are named. What does not carry over: no lockers or parking, no device monitoring or calendar health alerting for display fleets, Outlook is not named in the Microsoft evidence, no published figures, no trial, and editable floor plans are a paid add-on.
Skedda Skedda Worth considering only if your bookable space count is low and headcount is high, since Skedda charges per bookable space from 99 per month for 15 spaces in EMEA and APAC, with a free 14-day trial, where Robin publishes nothing. Important: Skedda documents Outlook calendar sync for availability and nowhere states that bookings can be created or cancelled from Outlook or Teams, so Robin explicit Outlook and Teams naming does not carry over. No floor plans, analytics, visitor management or lockers either.
