What it is

Eptura Engage is the product most buyers still know as Condeco. Eptura rebranded it, with an official launch date of 8 June 2025, and the product page now carries the header "Eptura Engage (formerly Condeco)" together with the plain statement that "The solution you know as Condeco is now Eptura Engage". The rename was thorough rather than cosmetic: Eptura published a Condeco to Eptura Engage Rebrand Kit, swapped the logo in login screens, the navigation bar, email notifications and the favicon, replaced all in-app mentions of Condeco, renamed the mobile app, and renamed the Microsoft Teams app from "Condeco for Microsoft Teams" to "Eptura Engage for Microsoft Teams". Existing URLs and knowledge base links were redirected rather than retired.

The important point for a buyer is that this is a rename, not a consolidation. Eptura lists Eptura Engage on its current platform page as a distinct platform app alongside Eptura Workplace, Eptura Asset and Eptura Visitor. Engage is not a module of Eptura Workplace, and Eptura documents an integration between Condeco and Eptura Workplace rather than a merge. That same documentation carries a caveat worth reading before you buy: Eptura states that if both Condeco and Eptura Workplace are already implemented, the integration is not supported. Anyone running both products, or planning to, should establish the sequencing with Eptura directly.

Functionally, the product page describes AI-powered booking of desks and meeting rooms, interactive floorplans for selecting a space, hybrid work schedules that administrators can set, wayfinding, an employee mobile app, hospitality and services including visitor registration, office management spanning multiple locations, and workplace analytics dashboards covering busy days, space use and missed bookings. Eptura also ships room screen applications for Android tablets mounted outside meeting spaces, which is the heritage Condeco hardware story carried forward onto generic tablets.

On Microsoft integration, which matters more in this category than anywhere else, the vendor page is vaguer than it should be. It says only that the product "integrates seamlessly with Microsoft workflows". There is a dedicated Eptura Engage for Microsoft Teams app with its own release notes, and a Copilot for Eptura Engage for Microsoft Teams in early access as of the October 2026 roadmap. What the vendor marketing page does not do is state plainly that booking, cancelling and recurring meetings all work from an Outlook or Teams calendar. That is recorded here as partially verified rather than as a clean yes.

There is no published price. Eptura states that the annual subscription depends on the number of users, with tiered plans and optional add-ons, which is a quote-only model.

Capabilities

Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.

Strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • Still a separately marketed and separately documented product, not absorbed into Eptura Workplace. Eptura lists Eptura Engage as its own platform app and maintains a distinct knowledge base and release notes for it. verified source

Limitations

  • Eptura own FAQ states that where both Condeco and Eptura Workplace are already implemented, the integration between them is not supported. Buyers running or planning both products must confirm sequencing before purchase. verified source
  • The product page describes Microsoft support only as integrating with Microsoft workflows. For a booking product this is the single most load-bearing capability and deserves a clearer vendor statement about calendar-native booking and recurring meetings. editorial
  • Heavy portfolio overlap. Engage, Eptura Workplace, Eptura Visitor, Archibus and Serraview all touch workplace and space, which makes scoping harder than with a single-product vendor. editorial

Who it suits

Organisation sizes: Medium, Enterprise

Eptura Engage fits organisations whose primary problem is booking: a large estate of meeting rooms and desks, a hybrid attendance policy to administer, and a need for room screens outside meeting spaces. Its Condeco heritage is in enterprise meeting room management for banks, law firms and professional services, and that is still where the product is strongest. Multi-location office management is explicitly in scope.

It is a weaker fit if your problem is space planning rather than booking. Stack and block planning, chargeback and portfolio right-sizing live in Eptura Serraview or Archibus, not in Engage. Eptura documents a Serraview and Eptura Engage integration in which Serraview is the source of truth for team and neighbourhood groupings, which is a clear signal that Engage consumes space structure rather than owning it.

Two cautions. First, the Eptura portfolio overlaps: Eptura Workplace, Eptura Engage, Eptura Visitor, Archibus and Serraview all touch workplace and space, and Eptura own documentation says the Condeco to Eptura Workplace integration is not supported where both are already implemented. Scope the combination before signing. Second, because nothing is priced publicly and tiering depends on user counts plus add-ons, comparison against per-user products such as deskbird or per-space products such as Skedda requires a quote.

Typical use cases: enterprise meeting room booking with tablet room screens, desk booking with hybrid attendance policies across several offices, and workplace analytics on missed and under-used bookings.

Alternatives

Robin Robin Powered, Inc. The closest like-for-like booking alternative. Robin covers desks, rooms, lockers and parking with team-day hybrid policies, and names Outlook and Teams explicitly rather than referring vaguely to Microsoft workflows, which is clearer evidence than Eptura publishes for Engage. Robin also adds device monitoring with calendar health alerts for large room display fleets. Both are quote only: Robin publishes no figures at all and bills annually, with no free plan and no advertised trial.
Envoy Workplace Envoy Also booking plus visitor management, but modular and openly priced per module in stated USD, with Reservations at USD 5 per bookable resource per month billed annually and a genuine free Visitors Basic tier. Note the printed caveat that module prices exclude an undisclosed platform fee. Envoy does not describe space allocation at all, so moves, stack plans and chargeback do not carry over, and it has no room screen heritage comparable to Condeco tablet displays.
deskbird deskbird Much cheaper and far better documented on identity plumbing: published rates from USD 3.75 and EUR 2.75 per active user per month annually, SCIM provisioning, SAML 2.0 and FIDO2 SSO, and a named Microsoft Outlook add-in alongside native Teams use. What does not carry over is the enterprise room estate story: deskbird publishes no floor plan, visitor management, wayfinding or analytics capability, all of which Engage states, and it has a 25-user minimum on the Business plan.
Microsoft Places Microsoft If the attraction of Engage is Microsoft workflow, Places is the only product in this category with verified calendar-native booking: embedded in Teams and Outlook, with desks bookable through Outlook, Teams or the Places app. Core features ship with most Microsoft 365 plans. Two things do not carry over: individual desk booking needs a space licence per desk at a price Microsoft does not publish, and setup is real Exchange administration through PowerShell 7.4 rather than a configuration wizard.
Kadence Kadence Booking plus a real space planning line, which Engage does not have: SpaceOps covers stack and scenario planning to seat level with plans publishable into the booking system. Billing is per active user, charging only for people who book in the month, which suits uneven attendance. No figures are published, there is no trial, and the minimum is a one-year annual contract. Editable floor plans, VMS Documents and Insights Plus are paid add-ons, and Outlook is not named in the Microsoft evidence.
