What it is

If you are researching MPulse, note that the current flagship is MPACT CMMS. MPulse now refers to the legacy editions that existing customers run, which remain supported, with a published migration path to MPACT. The vendor has been in this market since 1995 and has been part of the JDM Technology Group since 2017.

Its distinguishing technical feature is PM scheduling flexibility: time, meter or condition, which is the complete set and more than several better-known competitors offer. The legacy MPulse line also carries a documented local-install option, licensed purchase or subscription, making this one of very few products at this price point with any on-premises story at all.

The thing to examine closely is how much is an add-on rather than a tier feature. Purchase orders, batch receiving, ERP integration, sensor integration, SAML SSO and offline mobile are all separately priced. The published USD 29 and USD 79 are per concurrent user, which helps a shift-based team, but the real total depends heavily on which add-ons you need, and those are not priced publicly.

Capabilities

Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.

CapabilityStatusNotes
Work order management Creation, assignment, approval and closure of work orders. Yes source
Preventive maintenance scheduling Calendar, meter and usage-based schedule generation. Yes Scheduling by time, meter or condition, which is the full set and more flexible than several competitors here. source
Mobile technician app A native mobile app for technicians, with offline capability where stated. Yes iOS and Android. Offline is available but sold as a paid add-on, and the vendor's own pages disagree about which editions include it. source
Spare parts and inventory Storerooms, stock levels, reorder points and parts issued to work orders. Yes Parts and inventory, with inventory records including cost on the Advanced tier. source
Procurement and purchase orders Purchase requisitions and purchase orders raised inside the system. Yes Purchase orders are available but marked as a paid add-on rather than included in a tier. Purchasing with approval workflows is an Enterprise add-on. source
Multi-site operation Multiple facilities, plants or sites in one instance with separable data. Yes Multi-site controls are an add-on; location-based permissions are standard. source
IoT and BMS integration Sensor, condition or building-management-system data reaching the system. Yes Sensor integration as a paid add-on, plus smart-building API integrations, with Ignition, Disruptive Technologies and Redzone named. The term BMS is not used. source
Maintenance KPI reporting MTBF, MTTR, downtime, schedule compliance and maintenance cost reporting. Yes Dashboards and unlimited custom reports exporting to PDF, XLS and CSV. source
Asset register and hierarchy Parent-child asset structure with locations and equipment, not a flat list. Not verified
Predictive or condition-based maintenance Condition monitoring or failure prediction functions in the product itself. Not verified
Asset lifecycle and cost tracking Cost accumulated against an asset from acquisition through to retirement. Not verified
Contractor management External contractors and vendor workflows, not just internal technicians. Not verified
Documented API A publicly documented API, which is what makes every other integration possible. Not verified

Published priceUSD 29 per concurrent user per month (Professional plan, billed annually, 3-user minimum)
NoteMPulse publishes USD 29 per user per month for Professional, billed annually with a three-user minimum, and USD 79 for Advanced, read from its own pricing page on 7 November 2026. Pricing is per concurrent user rather than per named account, which can change the sums substantially for a shift-based team. Enterprise is quoted. Note how much sits outside the tiers as paid add-ons: purchase orders, batch receiving, ERP integration, sensor integration, SAML SSO, offline mobile and a dedicated account manager are all marked as add-ons. The page prints "$" without an ISO code.

Strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • PM scheduling by time, meter or condition, the complete set and more flexible than several competitors at this tier. verified source
  • Free unlimited maintenance requesters plus QR-code request submission, included from the entry tier. verified source
  • A documented local-install option on the legacy MPulse line, licensed or subscription, alongside a published migration path to the cloud flagship. Very few products at this price point offer any on-premises route. verified source
  • Concurrent-user rather than named-user licensing, which materially reduces cost for a shift-based team. verified source

Limitations

  • A large share of expected CMMS capability is a paid add-on rather than a tier feature: purchase orders, batch receiving, ERP integration, sensor integration, SAML SSO and offline mobile are all marked as add-ons, and none is priced publicly. verified source
  • No free tier and no free trial. Evaluation is demo-only, and the Enterprise price is unpublished. verified source
  • No public API documentation exists despite the API being sold as an add-on, and AI-powered analysis is listed as "coming soon" rather than shipping. verified source

Who it suits

Organisation sizes: Small, Medium

Worth shortlisting for small and mid-sized maintenance teams that want flexible PM scheduling, concurrent-user licensing that suits shift patterns, and a published starting price. Manufacturing, facilities, food and beverage, healthcare, education, public works, hospitality and oil and gas are among the sectors named.

Less suitable if you want everything in one tier, since the add-on list covers several things competitors include, or if you need to trial before buying: there is no free tier and no free trial, only a demo.

Alternatives

MicroMain CMMS MicroMain The closest competitor: a similar vintage and market, with offline mobile included rather than sold as an add-on, and a free trial.
Fiix CMMS Rockwell Automation Published pricing with a free tier and far fewer add-ons, plus documented OT connectivity.
MaintainX MaintainX A free forever tier and the lowest published per-user price, if the add-on list is what deters you.
Q Ware CMMS Q Ware Fully transparent tier pricing with no user limits, for a small facilities team.
Accruent Maintenance Connection Accruent The step up for multi-site operation with on-premises available and a published starting price.

Frequently asked questions

MPACT CMMS is the current flagship and what new customers buy. MPulse is the legacy line, still fully supported for existing customers, with a published migration path to MPACT. We could not establish whether legacy MPulse is still sold to new customers, so ask if an on-premises local install is what you want.

More than the headline, and we cannot tell you how much more. Purchase orders, offline mobile, ERP integration, sensor integration and SSO are all separately priced add-ons with no public figures. The published USD 29 and USD 79 per concurrent user are a floor. Get the add-ons itemised in any quote.

On the legacy MPulse line, yes: the vendor documents licensed purchase with local install and a subscription local install. For MPACT specifically, only cloud is described. Whether new on-premises licences can still be bought is something we could not confirm, so make it an explicit question.
