What it is

MicroMain is one of the longest-established vendors here and one of only a handful that publishes any price at all, which counts for something in a category this opaque. The figures sit in an FAQ rather than on a pricing page, and carry no stated billing period, which is an odd combination of transparency and carelessness.

Functionally it covers the CMMS ground competently, with a genuinely offline Mobile Technician app that logs task time and parts used without a connection, and a named SAP ERP integration alongside NetSuite, QuickBooks, MES and GIS. The current platform generation is MicroMain GLOBAL, with a migration path from the older MicroMain Classic.

The weakness is definitional. The vendor sells both a CMMS and an EAM SKU but uses the terms interchangeably and publishes no separate CMMS feature set, so a buyer cannot tell what the EAM edition adds. Since predictive maintenance appears only on the EAM page, that ambiguity has practical consequences for a quote.

Capabilities

Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.

CapabilityStatusNotes
Work order management Creation, assignment, approval and closure of work orders. Yes Scheduling, tracking and assignment of labour, parts and tools. source
Preventive maintenance scheduling Calendar, meter and usage-based schedule generation. Yes source
Predictive or condition-based maintenance Condition monitoring or failure prediction functions in the product itself. Yes Named on the EAM edition page. It is not a listed feature of the CMMS edition, so check which edition a quote covers. source
Mobile technician app A native mobile app for technicians, with offline capability where stated. Yes The Mobile Technician app completes assigned tasks offline, including logging task time and parts used. source
Spare parts and inventory Storerooms, stock levels, reorder points and parts issued to work orders. Yes Parts and inventory with stock decrement on use and low-quantity alerts. source
Multi-site operation Multiple facilities, plants or sites in one instance with separable data. Yes Single or multi-site configurable, with multi-location management on the EAM edition. source
IoT and BMS integration Sensor, condition or building-management-system data reaching the system. Yes The vendor describes the product as IoT and Industry 4.0 ready with events, metering and triggers. Building-management-system integration is not mentioned. source
Maintenance KPI reporting MTBF, MTTR, downtime, schedule compliance and maintenance cost reporting. Yes KPI tracking, real-time reporting, maintenance history and equipment downtime reporting. source
Documented API A publicly documented API, which is what makes every other integration possible. Yes An API for integrations is listed as a product feature, but we found no public API reference or developer documentation, so the API exists while its documentation does not appear to be public. source
Asset register and hierarchy Parent-child asset structure with locations and equipment, not a flat list. Not verified
Procurement and purchase orders Purchase requisitions and purchase orders raised inside the system. Not verified
Asset lifecycle and cost tracking Cost accumulated against an asset from acquisition through to retirement. Not verified
Contractor management External contractors and vendor workflows, not just internal technicians. Not verified

Licensing and pricing

Published priceUSD 99 per admin licence (the vendor states no billing period; technician licences are USD 45)
NoteMicroMain publishes USD 99 per admin licence and USD 45 per technician licence, read from its own FAQ page on 7 November 2026. Two important caveats: the vendor states no billing period for those figures, so whether they are monthly or annual is genuinely unknown, and there is no pricing page at all, /pricing returns 404. The page prints "$" without an ISO code. The service-request module allows unlimited users to submit and check requests, which is not charged per seat.

Prices move and discounting is common. Treat anything here as a starting point and confirm with the vendor before budgeting.

Strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • Publishes an actual starting price on its own site, which is unusual transparency in this category. verified source
  • An offline-capable Mobile Technician app that logs task time and parts used without a connection. verified source
  • A named SAP ERP integration plus NetSuite, QuickBooks, MES and GIS. verified source
  • A free trial with no credit card required, plus explicit single or multi-site configurability. verified source

Limitations

  • No pricing page exists at all: /pricing returns 404 and the only figures live in an FAQ, with no billing period stated, so a budget cannot be built from them with confidence. verified source
  • No public documentation or API reference. An API is advertised on the feature page but no developer documentation, endpoint list or specification is published, and the FAQ's integration answer never mentions it. verified source
  • The CMMS and EAM product boundary is undefined: the EAM page uses both terms interchangeably and lists no separate CMMS feature set, so buyers cannot tell what the EAM edition adds, even though predictive maintenance appears only there. verified source

Who it suits

Organisation sizes: Small, Medium, Enterprise

A reasonable fit across small to enterprise, which the vendor explicitly claims, and particularly for organisations that want offline mobile and a published starting price without a long sales process. Manufacturing, property management, healthcare, education, government and transportation are named.

Clarify the edition and the billing period before committing: the published figures carry no period, and the capability difference between the CMMS and EAM editions is not documented.

Alternatives

MPACT CMMS MPulse Software The closest competitor, with concurrent-user licensing that is cheaper for a shift-based team and condition-based PM triggers.
Fiix CMMS Rockwell Automation Published pricing on an actual pricing page with a stated basis, plus a free tier and documented OT connectivity.
Limble CMMS Limble Unlimited volume and a full OpenAPI specification, against MicroMain's advertised but undocumented API.
MaintainX MaintainX A free forever tier and clearly stated annual and monthly rates, which MicroMain's FAQ pricing does not provide.
eMaint CMMS Fluke Reliability The step up for regulated industries, with validation, audit trails and contractor management.

Frequently asked questions

The vendor does not say, and we are not going to assume. The figure appears on MicroMain's FAQ page as "pricing starts at $99 per admin license and $45 per technician license" with no billing period attached and no pricing page to clarify it. Get the period confirmed in writing before comparing it with anything else here.

The vendor does not define it, which is the honest answer. Both have product pages, the EAM page uses the terms interchangeably, and no separate CMMS feature list is published. The one visible difference is that predictive maintenance and multi-location management appear on the EAM page only. Ask for a feature comparison between the editions.

GLOBAL is the current cloud generation and Classic is the older one, with a published migration path between them. We found no formal end-of-life date for Classic. If you are an existing Classic customer, ask for one.
