MPACT CMMS vs MicroMain

Two long-established American CMMS vendors, both publishing a price, both with legacy product lines still in support, and both aimed at small and mid-sized maintenance teams. They are more similar than different, so the deciding factors are licensing model and how much of the product is an add-on.

Names first: MPulse's current flagship is MPACT CMMS, with MPulse now the legacy line. MicroMain's current generation is GLOBAL, with Classic the predecessor. Both vendors publish migration paths and neither publishes an end-of-life date for the old line.

The main differences

Licensing model. This is the real difference. MPACT is priced per concurrent user, USD 29 Professional and USD 79 Advanced, billed annually with a three-user minimum. MicroMain is per licence by role, USD 99 per admin and USD 45 per technician. For a shift-based team where many people need occasional access, concurrent licensing is substantially cheaper. For a small team of dedicated users, MicroMain's role split may work out better.

Price clarity. Both are imperfect. MPACT states billing annually; MicroMain states no billing period at all and has no pricing page, its figures sitting in an FAQ with /pricing returning 404. MPACT is the more usable published price.

PM scheduling. MPACT wins: time, meter or condition, the complete set. MicroMain documents preventive maintenance without that range of triggers.

Offline mobile. MicroMain wins. Its Mobile Technician app completes tasks offline including logging task time and parts used, included rather than extra. MPACT has offline but sells it as a paid add-on, and its own pages disagree about which editions include it.

Add-ons. MPACT's add-on list is long: purchase orders, batch receiving, ERP integration, sensor integration, SAML SSO, offline mobile and a dedicated account manager, none priced publicly. That makes the real total hard to predict. MicroMain bundles more into the licence.

Trial. MicroMain offers a free trial with no credit card. MPACT offers demos only.

Not verified means the capability has not been checked for that product. It does not mean the product lacks it. Blank cells and unverified rows are never counted as a "no".

Strengths and limitations

Drawn from each product's own profile, where every item is labelled a verified fact or an editorial judgement.

Which to choose

Choose MPACT CMMS for a shift-based team where concurrent-user licensing saves real money, and if condition-based PM triggers matter. Insist on an itemised quote covering every add-on you need, because the published figure is a floor rather than a price.

Choose MicroMain if you want offline mobile included, a free trial before committing, and fewer surprises in the quote. Settle the billing period of its published figures in writing first, and clarify whether you are buying the CMMS or the EAM edition, because the vendor does not define the difference.

Sources and review basis

Attribute values come from each product's structured profile rather than being written into this page, so a correction made once appears everywhere. This comparison was last reviewed on 7 November 2026. Assessment of this category is documentation-based, not hands-on testing of every product.
