What it is

Asset Panda is the most clearly asset-tracking-first product in this directory, and we should say that plainly because the vendor publishes a page at a /cmms-maintenance-management/ URL. That page documents no purchase orders, no asset hierarchy, no predictive maintenance and no IoT integration. Calling it a CMMS would flatter it in a way that would mislead anyone comparing it against Fiix or eMaint.

What it does well is genuinely valuable and quite different. One configurable record per asset covering location, assignment, condition and complete history; strong mobile scanning with real offline capture; and inspection, calibration and compliance management as first-class product areas rather than afterthoughts. Its integration catalogue is the broadest here on business systems, spanning four ERPs plus public-sector systems like Tyler Munis and CGI Advantage and full endpoint management coverage.

The vertical specificity is exceptional too, down to named sub-industries like mining laboratories and maritime and ports, which usually indicates real reference customers rather than marketing breadth.

Capabilities

Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.

CapabilityStatusNotes
Work order management Creation, assignment, approval and closure of work orders. Yes Maintenance work created against equipment with responsibility, status, due dates and attachments. Lighter than a dedicated CMMS work order model. source
Preventive maintenance scheduling Calendar, meter and usage-based schedule generation. Yes Recurring service planning with reminders and date-driven workflows. source
Mobile technician app A native mobile app for technicians, with offline capability where stated. Yes iOS and Android with an offline mode that captures activity for later synchronisation. source
Spare parts and inventory Storerooms, stock levels, reorder points and parts issued to work orders. Yes Existing parts, inventory and vendor records can be referenced from maintenance work. Stock levels and reorder points are not documented. source
Asset lifecycle and cost tracking Cost accumulated against an asset from acquisition through to retirement. Yes Service costs captured per asset and reviewable alongside condition, age and lifecycle information. Depreciation is not documented. source
Multi-site operation Multiple facilities, plants or sites in one instance with separable data. Yes Asset management across departments and facilities, including between yards and job sites. Not framed as a multi-site maintenance capability. source
Contractor management External contractors and vendor workflows, not just internal technicians. Yes Vendor details recorded against repairs and costs. There is no contractor scheduling, portal or compliance feature documented. source
Maintenance KPI reporting MTBF, MTTR, downtime, schedule compliance and maintenance cost reporting. Yes Saved views, dashboards, filters and scheduled reports covering open work, overdue tasks, costs and completion status. source
Documented API A publicly documented API, which is what makes every other integration possible. Yes A public REST API reference with endpoints, parameters, sample requests and responses and interactive calls, plus webhooks, SFTP and an MCP connector. source
Asset register and hierarchy Parent-child asset structure with locations and equipment, not a flat list. Not verified
Predictive or condition-based maintenance Condition monitoring or failure prediction functions in the product itself. Not verified
Procurement and purchase orders Purchase requisitions and purchase orders raised inside the system. Not verified
IoT and BMS integration Sensor, condition or building-management-system data reaching the system. Not verified

NoteNo price is published anywhere on the vendor site. There is no pricing page at all: every route leads to a quote request, a demo or the enterprise page. This is not a JavaScript-rendering issue. Third-party review sites publish figures which we have not used. A 14-day trial with no credit card is offered.

Strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • The broadest integration catalogue here on business systems: four ERPs including SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365 and Infor, plus public-sector systems and full endpoint management coverage. verified source
  • Documented offline mobile capture with later synchronisation, plus photos and signatures on inspections. verified source
  • Compliance and inspection depth as a first-class product area, with dedicated calibration management, asset inspection and compliance management. verified source
  • Exceptional vertical specificity, with around twenty-four named sub-industries down to mining laboratories and maritime and ports, which usually indicates real reference customers per segment. verified source

Limitations

  • No price is published anywhere on the vendor site. There is no pricing page at all, and every route is quote or demo gated, so buyers cannot self-evaluate cost. verified source
  • Despite publishing a page titled CMMS and maintenance management, that page documents no purchase orders, no asset hierarchy and no predictive maintenance, and parts handling stops at referencing existing records. The maintenance depth is well short of the CMMS label it uses. verified source
  • No IoT, sensor, BMS or BAS integration appears anywhere in an integration catalogue of around fifty entries, so condition-based and building-systems-driven maintenance is not addressable today. verified source

Who it suits

Organisation sizes: Small, Medium, Enterprise

The right tool where custody, inspection and compliance are the problem: public sector, school districts, healthcare biomedical and laboratory estates, and regulated industries needing calibration records and inspection history per asset. The ERP and public-sector integration breadth also suits organisations with established finance systems.

Not a substitute for a CMMS in an asset-intensive plant or facility. There is no purchase order workflow, no documented asset hierarchy, and no IoT or BMS integration anywhere in a catalogue of around fifty entries, so condition-driven maintenance is not an addressable use case.

Alternatives

EZO EAM EZO The direct competitor: broader tracking hardware including RFID and GPS, plus purchase orders with multi-currency and depreciation, and published pricing.
Limble CMMS Limble A real CMMS with unlimited volume and a documented API, if maintenance rather than custody is the actual requirement.
UpKeep UpKeep Adds condition monitoring through first-party sensors, which Asset Panda does not offer in any form, plus published entry pricing.
FMX FMX The alternative for facilities estates needing inspection records alongside genuine work order, purchasing and BAS capability.
MaintainX MaintainX A free tier and published pricing, against Asset Panda publishing no price at all.

Frequently asked questions

It markets a page under that heading, but on the evidence we would not call it one. That page documents no purchase orders, no asset hierarchy and no predictive maintenance, and parts handling stops at referencing existing records. It is a strong asset-tracking, inspection and compliance platform with maintenance workflows layered on. If you need a CMMS, compare it against one rather than treating it as one.

Not that we can find. There is no IoT, sensor, BMS or BAS entry anywhere in an integration catalogue of around fifty items; the closest is ArcGIS Online, which is mapping rather than telemetry. We have recorded IoT integration as unverified rather than absent, because the vendor never states it is unavailable, but the absence from a complete catalogue is itself informative.

The vendor publishes nothing. There is no pricing page, and the only routes are a quote request, a demo or the enterprise page. A 14-day trial with no credit card is available, which at least lets you assess fit before the sales conversation. Review sites publish figures; we have not repeated them because they are not the vendor's.
