Fiix vs MaintainX
Two modern CMMS products that both publish prices and both offer a free tier, which makes this an unusually easy comparison to make honestly. The split is clear: Fiix is industrial and OT-oriented, MaintainX is frontline and mobile-oriented.

Full profileThe main differences
Cost of entry. MaintainX is cheaper and clearer. Basic is free forever, Essential is USD 20 per user per month annually, and it is the only vendor in this directory publishing both annual and monthly rates. Fiix is free then USD 45, and does not state whether its figures assume annual commitment.
OT and industrial integration. Fiix wins without argument. Sensors, PLCs, SCADA, MES, DCS, HMIs and FactoryTalk Optix are documented. MaintainX names IoT partners, Waites, MachineMetrics, Samsara and Ignition, but gates sensor integration to the unpriced Enterprise tier.
Offline mobile. Fiix includes it on every tier including free. We could not verify MaintainX's offline support at all, which for a frontline-focused product is a conspicuous gap in what the vendor publishes.
Tier gating. Both gate, differently. Fiix puts multi-site, purchasing, custom reports and advanced analytics on Professional, and custom API work on Enterprise at extra cost. MaintainX puts parts inventory and purchase orders on Premium at USD 65, and multi-site, IoT and SSO on the unpriced Enterprise tier. MaintainX's cheap entry becomes expensive sooner than it first appears.
Ownership. Fiix has been Rockwell-owned since 2020 and is settled. Autodesk announced an agreement to acquire MaintainX in May 2026 and we could not confirm it has closed, so roadmap questions are fair.

Read the full assessmentWhich to choose
Choose Fiix for a plant or manufacturing environment, where OT connectivity and offline mobile on every tier matter more than the entry price.
Choose MaintainX to get a frontline team off paper fast and cheaply, or where you need a genuinely free working tier and free requester accounts. Just price the tier you will be on in year two, not year one.
And verify offline mobile with MaintainX before committing if your technicians work without signal. It is the one thing we could not establish about a product whose whole proposition is frontline work.
