OfficeSpace Alternatives

OfficeSpace sits on both sides of this category, which is unusual and is also why people go looking for alternatives from two different directions. It is primarily a space management product, floor plans with stack plans, space planning, and moves adds and changes for a workplace team, with desk and room booking, visitor management, wayfinding and utilisation reporting alongside. Buyers who want only the booking half find it heavier than necessary. Buyers who want portfolio-grade planning find it thinner than a specialist.

The most common practical blocker is price. OfficeSpace publishes none: the homepage links to a Plans page and invites a demo, no figures appear anywhere, and the pricing URL tried during research returned HTTP 404. There is no free tier and no advertised trial, so comparing cost against a per-user product such as deskbird or a per-space product such as Skedda requires a sales cycle before you can even build a spreadsheet. If published pricing is a procurement requirement, the options here are Envoy, deskbird, Skedda, Joan and WorkInSync, which are the only five of twelve profiled products that publish figures at all.

The second reason is the Microsoft question. OfficeSpace names Teams directly, along with Microsoft and Office 365 integrations, but does not name Outlook specifically on the pages read, and calendar-native booking, cancellation and recurring meeting behaviour are not described. For a product with booking in it, that is a real gap in the published material. Only Microsoft Places has verified calendar-native booking in this category, with Robin and deskbird the next-best evidenced since both name Outlook and Teams explicitly. No vendor here, Microsoft included, documents recurring meetings, so that remains untested everywhere.

A third, softer reason is the positioning change. The site no longer leads with space management but with an AI operating system framing, and names a newer offering called Studio plus an OfficeSpace MCP feature. None of that was verifiable in depth and no claims about it are recorded as capabilities in this directory, so treat the AI framing as unevaluated and ask for a demonstration against your own data. Sensor support could not be verified from published sources either: the word sensor does not appear on the pages read.

The alternatives, and why they are here

Selected on capability and use case rather than on sharing a category label. Each entry says what actually differs.

Robin

Robin Powered, Inc.

View profile

Robin is workplace management software for booking desks, rooms, lockers and parking, with floor plans, hybrid team-day policies, visitor management, wayfinding, workplace analytics and Microsoft 365 and Google Calendar integration.

Why consider it: Stronger on the booking half and clearer on Microsoft: Robin names Outlook and Teams explicitly where OfficeSpace names Teams, Microsoft and Office 365 without naming Outlook. Robin also books lockers and parking and monitors room display fleets with calendar health alerts. What does not carry over is planning: Robin has nothing published equivalent to stack plans, space chargeback rules or BOMA reporting, so a workplace team running quarterly moves would lose capability. Also quote only, annual billing.

Kadence

Kadence

View profile

Kadence is an AI-assisted workplace operations platform sold in WorkOps and SpaceOps product lines, covering booking, visitor management, move management, stack and scenario space planning, HRIS integration and workplace insights, billed per active user.

Why consider it: The closest match on covering both halves in one product. WorkOps brings booking, visitor management, Move Manager and HRIS integration with Workday, BambooHR and HiBob; SpaceOps brings stack and scenario planning to seat level with plans publishable into booking. Billing is per active user, which helps where attendance is uneven. No figures are published, there is no trial, several items including editable floor plans are paid add-ons, and Outlook is not named.

Serraview

Eptura

View profile

Serraview is Eptura space and portfolio management software for large corporate real estate estates. It covers floor plan management, block and stack planning, team and neighbourhood allocation, chargeback, occupancy validation and utilisation reporting from badge and sensor data.

Why consider it: Deeper on the space management half if that is the real requirement: block and stack planning, space charge rules, workstation audit and allocation variance reporting, BOMA reports and a monthly occupancy validation cycle. What does not carry over is booking. No self-service booking experience is described for Serraview, and Eptura positions Engage for that, so employees would need a second product. Enterprise scale only, and quote only.

Spacewell Smart Building Suite

Spacewell, a Nemetschek company

View profile

Spacewell is a Nemetschek Group company, formerly MCS, selling a smart building suite of separately named products covering workplace and space, asset and maintenance, and energy, with occupancy and indoor air quality sensing and AI features.

Why consider it: Workplace booking and sensor-driven occupancy analytics inside a wider FM platform, which suits buyers whose scope includes facility operations rather than workplace alone. Its verified profile lives in the facility management category of this directory. What does not carry over is focus: a platform module typically means a heavier implementation and, commonly, a less polished employee booking experience than a dedicated product.

Envoy Workplace

Envoy

View profile

Envoy Workplace is a modular workplace platform covering desk, room and parking reservations, interactive live maps, visitor and contractor management, deliveries, room displays and workplace analytics, with per-module published pricing.

Why consider it: A simpler and more budgetable option if booking and visitor management is the real scope. Published per-module USD prices, Reservations at USD 5 per bookable resource per month annually, plus a genuine free Visitors Basic tier, against OfficeSpace which publishes nothing and whose pricing URL returned HTTP 404. What does not carry over is space planning: Envoy does not describe space allocation at all, so stack plans and moves are out of scope. Module prices exclude an undisclosed platform fee.

What this page is not

This is not a ranking and there is no single best alternative. The right choice depends on what you are replacing and why, which is why each entry states a specific reason rather than a score. Capability values come from each product's structured profile, where anything unverified is labelled as such rather than assumed.
