What it is

This profile exists because Hippo CMMS does not any more. Eptura retired Hippo as a standalone solution in 2025 after folding its functionality into Eptura Asset, and the hippocmms.com domain no longer serves a valid certificate. Eptura Asset is itself the renamed ManagerPlus, rebranded in 2023. If you are evaluating against a Hippo incumbent or following an old recommendation, this is where that trail now leads.

The product is positioned above where Hippo sat: the vendor describes it as combining CMMS simplicity with lifecycle management, inventory, purchasing and condition monitoring, hosted on Azure, with offline-capable mobile. Named integrations lean toward the built environment, with Autodesk Tandem, Revit and AutoCAD, plus fleet telematics.

We should be clear about the evidence: most capability rows below are unverified. Eptura publishes relatively little product detail publicly and we could not locate a documentation portal or API reference. That is a gap in what the vendor publishes rather than a judgement about the product, and anyone shortlisting it should expect to establish the detail in a demo.

Capabilities

Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.

Strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • A supported migration destination for Hippo CMMS and ManagerPlus customers, with the functionality of both consolidated. verified source
  • Mobile-first tools with offline access. verified source
  • Broader scope than Hippo was: purchasing, parts inventory with kitting and condition monitoring alongside work orders. verified source
  • Autodesk Tandem, Revit and AutoCAD integrations, which is a genuinely useful orientation for built-environment estates. verified source

Limitations

  • Eptura publishes no precise end-of-life or end-of-support date for Hippo CMMS, only the year 2025, and no statement on when support for legacy Hippo tenants ends. verified source
  • No published price, and no documentation portal or API reference that we could locate, so most capability detail here is unverified. editorial
  • The Hippo to Eptura Asset migration was reported by customers as more effortful than expected, particularly around in-flight work orders, in a public exchange Eptura itself acknowledged. We have not independently verified that thread, and flag it as a question to raise rather than a settled fact. editorial

Who it suits

Organisation sizes: Medium, Enterprise

The natural destination for existing Hippo CMMS and ManagerPlus customers, and worth considering where facilities and asset management sit together, particularly alongside Eptura's wider workplace portfolio and in Autodesk-centric built-environment estates.

Harder to recommend on the public evidence alone. With no published price, no documentation portal and no API reference we could find, a buyer comparing it against eMaint or Maintenance Connection has much less to work from.

Alternatives

FMX FMX A strong alternative for the facilities and education work Hippo CMMS was often bought for, with named BAS connectors and a documented purchase order module.
Limble CMMS Limble Publishes tier-by-tier capability and a full API specification, where Eptura publishes very little, with unlimited assets and work orders.
MaintainX MaintainX The easiest migration target for a small team leaving Hippo: a free tier and a published entry price.
Facilio Connected CMMS Facilio The alternative for property portfolios needing cross-site operation and protocol-level building systems integration.
eMaint CMMS Fluke Reliability The step up where contractor management, purchasing and multi-site inventory are real requirements.

Frequently asked questions

It is gone as a product you can buy. iOFFICE acquired Hippo CMMS in 2019, Eptura integrated its core functionality into Eptura Asset, and Eptura retired Hippo as a standalone solution in 2025. Eptura's own history page states plainly that "Hippo CMMS is no longer available as a standalone solution", and the hippocmms.com domain no longer serves a valid certificate. We list it here under its successor so the search leads somewhere useful.

Yes, renamed. iOFFICE acquired ManagerPlus in 2019 and the platform was rebranded Eptura Asset in 2023. It then absorbed Hippo's functionality. So two former product lines converge here, which is worth knowing if you are comparing an old quote or an old review.

Because Eptura publishes little public product detail and we found no documentation portal or API reference. Rather than fill the gaps from review sites or from the discontinued Hippo documentation, we left them unverified. Every "Not verified" row means we did not establish it, not that the product lacks it.
