enteliWEB
by Delta Controls
Delta Controls enterprise facility and energy management software that federates multiple BACnet sites under a single login, with BACnet Advanced Operator Workstation and Secure Connect Hub device profiles.
What it is
enteliWEB is Delta Controls software for enterprise facility and energy management: a server-installed web application that acts as a BACnet Advanced Operator Workstation (B-AWS) and Secure Connect Hub (B-SCHUB) over Delta and third-party BACnet sites. Delta Controls trades as Delta Intelligent Building Technologies (Canada) Inc., based in Surrey, British Columbia, and is part of Delta Electronics.
Its defining capability is multi-site federation without renetworking. Delta states that you manage multiple sites from a single login and that all you need is an IP address for each site, and goes further: it is explicitly positioned to retain supervisory control of an entire portfolio of BACnet sites while leaving the other vendor front end in place on site. For an owner inheriting a mixed estate from different contractors, that is a cheaper path than replacing each site head-end.
The second distinctive feature is Virtual Meters in the enteliWEB Energy module: metering derived in software from existing building sensors and data, validated against upstream utility meters, which Delta positions as costing a fraction of installing sub-meters. Around that sit comprehensive alarm management with assignment, filtering, prioritisation, emailing and alarm and map widgets, hierarchical dashboards in enterprise, personal and system flavours, enteliVIZ HTML5 graphics, trend logs with enteliVAULT central archiving supporting up to 100,000 trend logs, and engineering tools to create and edit objects, modify graphics and back up databases. Regulated estates get electronic signatures supporting FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and a filterable audit log with a timeline chart. Scope also extends to access control with reader and door licensing, and VIVOTEK VAST 2 video integration, with the UI available in 22 languages.
Licensing is published in structure though not in price. Editions are bounded by I/O count: eW200 at 200 I/O, eW500, eW1000, eW2500 and the Enterprise edition at 5,000 I/O and expandable, with every edition supporting multiple sites. Add-ons are code-based: enteliVIZ graphics, Energy management, enteliVAULT, an offline virtual machine option, and an API bundle covering web services, the mobile app, an interface API and an ODBC driver. Access Dashboard licences are sized by door count. All editions include a one-year software maintenance subscription.
The clear limitation is that enteliWEB is BACnet centric. No Delta page or the catalog sheet states Modbus, LonWorks, KNX, SNMP, OPC UA or MQTT support for enteliWEB, so non-BACnet field protocols should be assumed to need gateway hardware until Delta confirms otherwise. There is also no vendor-hosted SaaS: cloud here means running it yourself on supported virtualisation, which the catalog sheet lists as Microsoft Azure, Amazon EC2, Rackspace, VMware vCenter and Hyper-V. Windows Server is required, an offline virtual machine deployment needs the specific add-on because a VM install otherwise needs permanent internet for licensing, and the hard per-edition I/O ceilings mean under-sizing forces a licence upgrade. The public catalog sheet is also dated November 2022, so current detail should be confirmed with Delta.
Capabilities
Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.
| Capability | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Third-party system integration Integration with systems outside HVAC, such as fire, access control, CCTV or CMMS. | Yes | Scoped to BACnet: it federates other vendor BACnet sites, and the alarm module handles non-BACnet alerts. source |
| Multi-building and enterprise scale Operating a portfolio of buildings from one platform. | Yes | Single login across multiple sites needing only an IP address per site, and able to sit above another vendor on-site front end. source |
| Remote and browser access Browser or remote client access for operators. | Yes | Web application with mobile-friendly dashboards. source |
| Cybersecurity features Documented security features such as encryption, authentication and hardening guidance. | Yes | User and group permissions, LDAP, audit log, electronic signatures supporting FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and the BACnet Secure Connect Hub profile. source |
| Historical data and archiving Long-term historical storage beyond short-term trend buffers. | Yes | enteliVAULT central archiving. source |
| Dashboards and graphics Operator graphics and configurable dashboards. | Yes | Enterprise, personal and system dashboards plus enteliVIZ HTML5 graphics, mobile optimised. source |

Who it suits
Organisation sizes: Medium, Enterprise
Who it fits. Owners of multi-site BACnet portfolios, especially where different sites were delivered by different contractors on different front ends and the goal is central alarms, scheduling and energy without ripping out site systems. It suits estates where sub-metering is desirable but capital is scarce, because Virtual Meters derive metering from existing sensors. Life sciences, pharma and other regulated estates are directly addressed through electronic signatures supporting FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and the audit log. Converged requirements also fit well, since HVAC supervision, energy analytics, access control and VIVOTEK video sit in one licence family.
Who it does not fit. Estates with substantial non-BACnet field equipment, since Delta publishes no Modbus, LonWorks, KNX, SNMP, OPC UA or MQTT statement for enteliWEB. Buyers wanting a vendor-hosted SaaS, since cloud here means self-hosted on Azure, EC2 or VMware. And anyone who cannot size I/O accurately up front, because the edition ceilings are hard.
Typical use. A portfolio supervisory layer above existing BACnet sites, delivered by a Delta partner from its network in more than 80 countries, running on customer Windows Server infrastructure with a separate server recommended for trend and energy history.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, where those sites are BACnet. Delta states that you can retain supervisory control of an entire portfolio of BACnet sites and leave the other vendor front end in place on site, needing only an IP address per site.
Not as a vendor-hosted service. It is server software for Windows Server, and the catalog sheet lists supported virtualisation hosts including Microsoft Azure, Amazon EC2, Rackspace, VMware vCenter and Hyper-V, so a cloud deployment means running it on your own instance.
