Procurement and E-Procurement Software · E-sourcing
Market Dojo
by Market Dojo Ltd, a company of Esker
E-sourcing tool for RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, multi-stage tenders, weighted bid scoring and eAuctions including ranked and Japanese formats. Now also sold as Esker Sourcing by Market Dojo. No requisitioning, purchase orders or invoicing.
What it is
This is a sourcing tool, not a procurement suite, and that distinction is the whole point of the entry. The product covers RFIs, RFPs and RFQs in a centralised platform, configurable multi-stage tenders, side-by-side bid comparison with weighted scoring, integrated eAuctions in forward and reverse formats including ranked and Japanese, supplier profiles with qualifications and performance data, real-time messaging with suppliers, and reporting. It does not state purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoice matching, catalogue management or budget control, and its own framing makes the handoff explicit: it converts sourcing events and quote requests into purchase-ready data without rekeying, and feeds clean structured award data into purchasing and invoice workflows elsewhere. Contracts are a handoff too, described as transforming awarded sourcing events into structured contract inputs, with contract management a separate Esker product. A buyer who reads an eSourcing tool as a procurement suite will be short a requisition-to-pay system.
Naming is in transition and buyers should know both halves. Esker markets it as Esker Sourcing, with a companion product called Esker Quote Request, and its own 2026 solution-summary material uses the phrase Esker Sourcing by Market Dojo. The Market Dojo brand remains live on marketdojo.com and lp.marketdojo.com. Treat Market Dojo and Esker Sourcing as the same product under two names.
Ownership: Esker SA acquired a majority stake of 50.1 percent of shares and voting rights effective Q1 2022, with an agreement to acquire the remaining 49.9 percent after a period of four years. That four-year period falls due around now, in 2026, and no document confirming completion of the residual purchase could be found, so the ownership of that 49.9 percent is unknown. One further layer: Esker itself is now reported to be owned by Bridgepoint with General Atlantic and management shareholders following a public tender offer at 262 euros per share, with a squeeze-out effective 3 March 2025 and delisting from Euronext Growth Paris. That second-order ownership comes from press summaries rather than a primary document that was opened, so it is reported rather than verified.
Pricing is the stand-out, because almost nobody in this category publishes a figure. A vendor-owned landing page states, verbatim, from 1,000 pounds per month, billed in GBP, as a monthly procurement licence that scales with your team, and the currency is explicitly stated rather than inferred, which is unusual and welcome. It also offers an alternative of starting with a single sourcing event rather than a licence, though no per-event price is published. There is a free Sandpit environment for running test events as both buyer and supplier with no credit card required, which is a sandbox rather than a usable free production tier, so no free version is claimed here. eAuctions, intake management and additional users are named as add-ons but are unpriced, and the FAQ refers to per-module pricing on another page that sits on the blocked main domain.
Two evidence problems should be disclosed plainly. marketdojo.com returned HTTP 403 Forbidden on every attempt, including the root, the pricing page and the about page. No User-Agent spoofing or workaround was attempted. All capability detail therefore comes from esker.com, which is vendor-owned because Esker is the majority owner, plus the unblocked lp.marketdojo.com landing page. That means Market Dojo historic standalone modules, which third-party listings call Innovation Dojo, SIM Dojo and Contract Dojo, could not be checked and are not asserted. There is also no public API or developer documentation of any kind.

Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.

| Note | Vendor-published on a Market Dojo owned landing page, quoted verbatim: from 1,000 pounds per month, billed in GBP, as a monthly procurement licence that scales with your team, described as transparent with no lock-in. CURRENCY IS STATED, not inferred: the page says billed in GBP and prints the pound sign. An alternative model is offered, starting with a single sourcing event rather than a licence, but no per-event price is published. A free Sandpit environment is offered for running test events as both buyer and supplier with no credit card required; that is a sandbox, not a usable free production tier, so no free version is claimed. A trial is not mentioned, so trial availability is unknown. eAuctions, intake management and additional users are named as add-ons but unpriced, and the FAQ refers to per-module pricing on a page that sits on the 403-blocked main domain. |

Strengths and limitations
Strengths
- A genuine published entry price with the currency stated, from 1,000 pounds per month billed in GBP, plus a per-event option and no lock-in, in a category where almost nobody publishes anything. verified source
- Full auction format depth for a small vendor: forward and reverse auctions including ranked and Japanese, alongside weighted scoring, side-by-side bid comparison and multi-stage tenders. verified source
Limitations
- Not a suite: no stated requisitioning, purchase orders, invoice matching, catalogue management or budget control, so Esker other modules or your own ERP are required downstream. verified source
- Its own website blocks automated access with HTTP 403, so capability detail and per-module pricing cannot be independently checked, and the product identity is mid-transition between Market Dojo and Esker Sourcing. verified source
- No public API or developer documentation of any kind could be found, and Esker completion of the residual 49.9 percent stake in Market Dojo, due around 2026, is unconfirmed. editorial
Who it suits
Organisation sizes: Not stated
Market Dojo suits organisations that need genuine competitive sourcing discipline and already have, or do not need, a requisition-to-pay system. The auction depth is strong for a small vendor, with forward and reverse plus ranked and Japanese formats, and weighted scoring with side-by-side comparison across multi-stage tenders covers most evaluation requirements short of constraint-based optimisation. The published entry price and the no-lock-in and single-event options make it unusually accessible for a team that wants to run a few events before committing, which is a meaningfully different buying experience from the enterprise suites in this category. Neither Esker nor Market Dojo states target organisation sizes; the licence is said to scale with your team and no segments are named, so all three size flags are left unset rather than guessed.
It suits you poorly if you need a suite. There is no requisitioning, no purchase order issue, no invoice matching, no catalogue and no budget control, so you will need Esker other modules or your own ERP downstream. It suits you poorly if you need an API, since none is documented. And there is a live naming and identity risk: the product is mid-transition between Market Dojo and Esker Sourcing, and its own website refuses automated access, so capability detail and per-module pricing cannot be independently checked right now.
Typical use cases: running a tender with weighted scoring and an audit trail without buying a suite; adding reverse or ranked auctions to a category sourcing programme; a procurement team of a handful of people that needs event capability rather than transaction processing; Esker customers extending an existing source-to-pay footprint.

Frequently asked questions
No. It is e-sourcing only: RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, multi-stage tenders, weighted bid scoring and eAuctions. It does not state requisitioning, purchase orders, invoice matching, catalogue management or budget control, and its own pages describe purchasing and invoicing as downstream systems it feeds award data into.
Both names are in use. Esker markets it as Esker Sourcing, and its own 2026 material uses the phrase Esker Sourcing by Market Dojo, while the Market Dojo brand remains live on its own domains. Esker acquired a 50.1 percent majority stake effective Q1 2022 with an agreement to buy the remaining 49.9 percent after four years, which falls due around now; completion of that residual purchase could not be confirmed.
From 1,000 pounds per month, billed in GBP, as a monthly procurement licence that scales with your team, published on its own landing page. You can alternatively start with a single sourcing event, though no per-event price is published, and eAuctions, intake management and additional users are unpriced add-ons.
