Augury Machine Health Alternatives

Augury Machine Health is a service, and Augury says so itself. Augury states that it does not sell hardware and instead delivers Diagnostics as a Service, covering sensors, software, connectivity, installation, support, updates and unlimited diagnostics for a flat fee per machine, billed annually. That makes the alternatives question unusually sharp, because most people searching for it are hitting one of two walls.

The first wall is the measurement chain. Augury cannot use your existing sensors. The sensors come with the service and there is no public statement about analysing third-party instrumentation, so this is a parallel monitoring layer installed on your machines rather than an analytics layer over data you already have. If you have already instrumented part of your plant, that single fact is usually the whole reason you are looking, and the alternatives split cleanly into those that accept existing sensor data and those that do not.

The second wall is integration. Augury says it integrates with a variety of software platforms and has engineers to enable integration into the systems you use, but it names no specific platform, no CMMS, no API and no ERP anywhere on its public pages. If findings have to land in a work order queue automatically, that needs pinning down contractually with Augury, or it needs a different vendor.

When comparing, keep the shape of the purchase in view. Swapping Augury for licensable software changes what you are buying fundamentally: you gain control of the analytics and the ability to use your own data, and you lose the bundled sensors, the installation and the unlimited diagnostics, which means you need someone who can interpret the output. Swapping it for another monitoring service keeps the human layer but may or may not keep the multi-modal sensing: Augury names vibration, temperature, ultrasound and magnetic field data, and the ultrasound element specifically addresses low-speed equipment that vibration-only monitoring handles poorly. No vendor here publishes a price amount, Augury included, though its per-machine annual model is published and is unusually clear.

The alternatives, and why they are here

Selected on capability and use case rather than on sharing a category label. Each entry says what actually differs.

Nanoprecise MachineDoctor

Nanoprecise Sci Corp

View profile

Sensor hardware plus cloud analytics for predictive maintenance. MachineDoctor is a six-in-one wireless sensor and RotationLF is the analytics platform, licensed per sensor on an annual contract, though the platform is described as sensor agnostic.

Why consider it: The decisive alternative if you already have sensors. Augury supplies the whole measurement chain and cannot use your existing instrumentation; Nanoprecise states RotationLF is sensor agnostic and can ingest existing vibration sensor data, and can run on private cloud or on-premises. Its six-in-one sensor adds acoustic emission and true RPM. The cost model differs in shape: per sensor per year scales linearly where Augury is a flat fee per machine per year.

WATCHMAN by Azima DLI, a Fluke Reliability company

Fluke Reliability (Fortive)

View profile

Vibration condition monitoring delivered as a combined package of Azima Accel wireless sensors, WATCHMAN analytics software and certified vibration analyst services. Primarily a subscription monitoring service rather than licensable software.

Why consider it: The nearest peer in commercial shape: a subscription vibration monitoring service with vendor hardware and, in Fluke's case, ISO Level II to IV certified analysts providing coaching and second opinions on top of WATCHMAN analytics. Like Augury it states no third-party sensor support and describes no API or CMMS integration, not even to Fluke's own eMaint. Augury's multi-modal sensing, including ultrasound, does not carry over.

Infinite Uptime PlantOS

Infinite Uptime

View profile

Vertically integrated reliability platform combining Infinite Uptime wired and wireless sensing with AI Shields, Flex Reliability and Plant Fusion modules, delivered with round-the-clock human expert review as Production Outcomes as a Service.

Why consider it: A managed offering with vendor sensing and 24x7 human review like Augury, but less closed: it states that existing third-party sensor, PLC and historian data can be ingested with no rip-and-replace, names Dynamic FMEA, and issues prescriptions as work orders over an open API, which answers Augury's biggest integration gap. It publishes no deployment architecture and the Production Outcomes as a Service structure is an outcome contract rather than a scoped licence.

Senseye Predictive Maintenance

Siemens

View profile

Cloud, machine learning based predictive maintenance software from Siemens that provides advisory condition monitoring using machine signals sent from a customer existing data collection systems. It supplies no sensors of its own.

Why consider it: Only viable if you already collect condition data, and worth naming for exactly that reason. Senseye is licensable software, not a service, and Siemens states signals arrive through your existing data collection systems and that it integrates with any asset, system or data source, with developer documentation for machine data and work orders. It supplies no sensors and no analysts, so neither the measurement chain nor the unlimited diagnostics carry over.

What this page is not

This is not a ranking and there is no single best alternative. The right choice depends on what you are replacing and why, which is why each entry states a specific reason rather than a score. Capability values come from each product's structured profile, where anything unverified is labelled as such rather than assumed.
