WATCHMAN by Azima DLI, a Fluke Reliability company
by Fluke Reliability (Fortive)
Vibration condition monitoring delivered as a combined package of Azima Accel wireless sensors, WATCHMAN analytics software and certified vibration analyst services. Primarily a subscription monitoring service rather than licensable software.
What it is
What this actually is, stated plainly: it is primarily a service, not a software licence. That is the most important finding for a buyer and it should change how you evaluate it. Fluke Reliability, a Fortive subsidiary, acquired Azima DLI in August 2023. Azima DLI was a subscription-based remote condition monitoring business, and the acquisition brought Fluke more than thirty certified analyst experts worldwide alongside the technology. Fluke’s current page describes Azima DLI as a Fluke Reliability company and a leader in vibration monitoring, AI analytics software and expert vibration analyst services. The commercial model described in acquisition coverage is one where manufacturers subscribe to have their equipment monitored. You are buying monitoring outcomes with people in the loop, not a tool you run yourself.
Naming. There is no single clean product name. Fluke names WATCHMAN as the analytics software and the Azima Accel 310 wireless vibration sensors as the hardware, with Azima DLI as the company brand. Acquisition-era coverage referred to the analytics platform as Watchman 360. Separately, Fluke Reliability sells eMaint CMMS, Connect2Assets and Fluke test instruments, which are distinct products and are not part of this offering. If someone says Fluke Reliability condition monitoring, establish whether they mean the Azima monitoring subscription, Fluke handheld instruments, or eMaint.
Sensor requirement: yes. The offering is built around Fluke and Azima hardware. The page features triaxial Azima Accel 310 wireless sensors with a wide dynamic input range, high-resolution data, roughly three-year battery life, IP and EX ratings and cable-free mounting. There is no statement that WATCHMAN will analyse data from another vendor’s sensors, so assume it will not without written confirmation. Combined with the analyst service, this is a full-stack commitment: hardware, software and people from one supplier.
The capability described is diagnostic vibration analysis rather than generic AI. Fluke describes AI-based fault diagnosis with prioritised repair recommendations, hourly summaries and daily diagnostic analysis, with ISO Level II to IV certified analysts providing coaching, second opinions and analysis when needed. That human escalation path is the genuine differentiator: most platforms in this category hand you an alert and leave interpretation to you. Fluke also publishes fault reduction, capacity and cost percentages and a claim about years of training data; those are vendor marketing figures and none are recorded in this profile. Because the underlying prediction mechanism is not described beyond AI-based fault diagnosis, failure prediction is recorded as unknown while vibration analysis and condition monitoring are recorded as supported. No integration with eMaint or any API is described on the product page, which is a notable gap given that Fluke owns a CMMS.
Capabilities
Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.

| Note | No figure published. The page offers only a Speak to a Specialist route. Acquisition coverage describes the Azima model as subscription-based remote condition monitoring in which manufacturers subscribe to have equipment monitored, so expect recurring per-machine or per-site service pricing plus sensor hardware, but no amount, unit or term is published by the vendor. A promotional discount link appeared on the page with no stated terms and is not recorded as pricing. |

Strengths and limitations
Strengths
- Includes human expertise, not just software. Fluke describes ISO Level II to IV certified vibration analysts providing coaching, second opinions and analysis, which is why a site without an analyst can run a programme at all. verified source
- Purpose-built wireless hardware: triaxial Azima Accel 310 sensors with wide dynamic input range, high-resolution data, around three-year battery life and IP and EX ratings for harsh environments. verified source
Limitations
- It is a service subscription with vendor hardware, not a licensable software product, so the commitment is ongoing and the analysis is not yours to run. verified source
- No integration or API is described on the product page, not even to Fluke Reliability own eMaint CMMS, so getting findings into your system of record is an open question. verified source
Who it suits
Organisation sizes: Medium, Enterprise
Fits: plants that need a vibration programme but do not have, and do not want to hire, a vibration analyst. That is the core case, and it is a legitimate one. Mid-sized and large manufacturing, food and beverage, packaging, metals, water and utilities sites with a population of rotating machines and a thin reliability team are the natural buyers. It also suits organisations wanting to move from periodic route-based collection to permanently installed wireless monitoring without building the analysis capability internally, and those that value a certified human second opinion before taking a machine out of service.
Does not fit: organisations that want to own and operate the analytics themselves over data they already collect. If you have analysts and existing sensors, a subscription service with vendor hardware is the wrong shape of purchase and a sensor-agnostic software platform in this category suits better. It is also a poor fit where data residency or air-gapped operation is required, since no on-premises option was verified, and where you need the output in your CMMS automatically, since no integration or API is described even to Fluke’s own eMaint.
Typical use cases: outsourced continuous vibration monitoring of critical and semi-critical rotating assets; replacing or supplementing an in-house route-based programme; providing diagnostic coverage across multiple sites from one subscription; obtaining certified analyst confirmation of a suspected fault before planning an intervention.
Buyer caution: price this as an ongoing service commitment per machine, not as a one-off software purchase, and ask explicitly what happens to your historical data and to the monitoring if you end the subscription. Also ask directly whether third-party sensor data can be analysed, and whether results can be pushed into eMaint or another CMMS.

Frequently asked questions
Primarily a service. Fluke describes Azima DLI as providing vibration monitoring, AI analytics software and expert vibration analyst services together, and the acquisition-era model was a subscription in which manufacturers have their equipment monitored. WATCHMAN is the analytics software inside that service rather than a product you license and run alone.
Fluke Reliability, part of Fortive, acquired Azima DLI in August 2023. Azima DLI continues as a named Fluke Reliability company, and the acquisition brought more than thirty certified analysts worldwide alongside the technology.
The offering is built around Azima Accel 310 wireless vibration sensors and there is no statement that it analyses third-party sensor data. Assume vendor hardware is required unless Fluke confirms otherwise in writing.
