Verdigris Alternatives
Most people looking for Verdigris alternatives are doing so for one reason: they found it described as a commercial building energy AI platform, and the vendor now positions it as high frequency electrical monitoring for AI data centres. If your estate is offices, retail, campuses or industrial sites, that repositioning is the answer to your question, and the alternatives below are the places to look instead.
What Verdigris actually does well is narrow and real. It samples power at 8 kHz, against roughly 1 Hz for standard monitoring, with continuous waveform analysis, giving per circuit measurement across the whole power chain and early detection of equipment degradation. The stated commercial outcome is recovering stranded capacity by validating safe operating limits. That is a genuine technical differentiator for electrical asset health, and if that is your problem you should not substitute something softer for it.
It is also the only product in this entire category that publishes a price: the pricing page states the Cloud tier starts at 25,000 per MW per year. Two caveats. The currency is inferred, not verified, because the page prints a bare dollar sign with no ISO code and USD is inferred from Verdigris being a United States vendor, so confirm it. And the unit is the important part: cost scales with electrical capacity rather than floor area or site count, which suits a data centre and penalises a large but low intensity estate. The same page carries a deployment estimator whose output the vendor itself labels an order of magnitude estimate and explicitly not a quote, so it is not a price. Two further tiers publish no price at all: Forge is a perpetual licence plus maintenance, and Sentinel is contact us.
The limitations beyond positioning: utility bill management, carbon reporting, benchmarking, dashboards and demand management are not described, so it cannot serve as a general energy management platform, and documented API, building integration and fault detection could not be verified from published sources. Deployment is hardware led, since per circuit metering means electrical installation work, licensed contractors and possible outage windows. Note that only the vendor home page and pricing page were readable, so deeper pages may cover more.

The alternatives, and why they are here
Selected on capability and use case rather than on sharing a category label. Each entry says what actually differs.
EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert
Schneider Electric
Power monitoring software from Schneider Electric for electrical system health, power quality analysis and energy efficiency. Includes automated voltage disturbance waveform analysis and incident grouping of electrical alarms.
Why consider it: The established same class option for electrical monitoring, with automated voltage disturbance waveform analysis that identifies root cause and fault direction, automatic grouping of related events into incidents with a timeline, and thermal and arc flash monitoring that nothing else here offers. What does not carry over: it is on premises Windows Server and SQL Server software with the attendant licensing and administration overhead, no published price, no 8 kHz waveform sampling, and no protocols or API are stated.

SkySpark
SkyFoundry
Analytics and fault detection platform for building and equipment data from SkyFoundry. Over 500 built in analytic functions, Project Haystack REST API, and deployment on premises, in the cloud, at the edge or on the desktop. Sold through resellers and OEMs.
Why consider it: A cross class alternative where the real requirement is analytics across electrical and mechanical data rather than waveform grade electrical health: more than 500 analytic functions, a custom Rule App, a Project Haystack REST API, verified metering, water and gas, dashboards, reporting and tariff analysis, and on premises or edge deployment. What does not carry over: no 8 kHz sampling or waveform analysis, no published price, and deployment quality depends on the reseller.

Enertiv
Enertiv
Commercial real estate sustainability and operations platform combining utility data collection, shadow metering for tenant consumption, real time equipment monitoring with fault detection, tenant billing and a built in maintenance system.
Why consider it: The right alternative if you reached Verdigris through older commercial buildings coverage and your estate is real estate rather than data centre. Covers metering, utility bills, equipment monitoring with fault detection with or without a BMS, shadow metering, water and gas, benchmarking, carbon reporting, mobile access and maintenance management. What does not carry over: no waveform analysis, no per circuit electrical asset health, no published price and no capacity based pricing basis.

Spacewell Energy
Spacewell (Nemetschek Group)
Cloud energy management platform, formerly DEXMA, now part of Spacewell within the Nemetschek Group. Collects 15 minute data, runs AI anomaly detection and benchmarks against a database of more than 50,000 facilities.
Why consider it: The general energy management option for buyers who need bill and consumption analytics rather than electrical engineering: 15 minute data, AI anomaly detection, carbon reporting, documented API and webhooks, BMS and IoT sensor input, mobile access, benchmarking against more than 50,000 facilities and published tier limits. What does not carry over: no waveform analysis, no per circuit power chain measurement and no published price.

What this page is not
This is not a ranking and there is no single best alternative. The right choice depends on what you are replacing and why, which is why each entry states a specific reason rather than a score. Capability values come from each product's structured profile, where anything unverified is labelled as such rather than assumed.
