Domo
by Domo
A cloud data platform bundling integration, storage, preparation and dashboards in a single managed service.
What it is
Domo sells the whole stack rather than a layer of it. Connectors, storage, transformation, dashboards and distribution all come in one managed service, which for an organisation with no data platform is a legitimate shortcut: there is nothing to assemble.
Its connector library is large and its mobile experience is unusually well developed, which suits distributed and field-heavy operations.
The trade-off is coupling. Data lands inside Domo, so it becomes both your BI tool and your data platform, and the exit cost is correspondingly higher than for a tool that queries a warehouse you already own.
Capabilities
Each capability carries its own verification status. “Not verified” means exactly that: it has not been checked, and must not be read as absent.

Strengths and limitations
Strengths
- An all-in-one platform with no separate integration layer to build. editorial
- A very large connector library. editorial
- Mature mobile experience. editorial
Limitations
- Your data ends up inside the platform, raising switching cost. editorial
- Cloud only. verified source
- Consumption pricing is opaque until a negotiation. editorial
- Overlaps with a warehouse you may already own. editorial
Who it suits
Organisation sizes: Medium, Enterprise
Mid-sized organisations wanting dashboards without first building a data platform, and operations with a heavy mobile audience.
Poor fit where you already run a cloud warehouse and want BI on top of it, or where portability matters.
Alternatives
Frequently asked questions
In practice, often yes. Domo stores and transforms data internally, which is convenient if you have no warehouse and duplicative if you do. If you already run Snowflake or BigQuery, a tool that queries them directly usually fits your architecture better.
