Procurify versus Precoro: two mid-market procure-to-pay tools, one with a published price

Both products are procure-to-pay, not source-to-pay, and both state it themselves. Procurify page title reads procurement software that runs intake to payment. Precoro calls itself an agentic procurement and accounts payable centralisation platform and deliberately does not use the term source-to-pay. The practical meaning is the same for both: neither covers strategic sourcing at all. No RFQ, no tender, no bid comparison, no bid scoring and no auctions appear anywhere in either product navigation. If competitive sourcing is part of your process, you will need a second tool alongside either one, which is a legitimate architecture but has to be budgeted. Neither is an ERP or a general ledger.

Terminology differs in ways that affect how you read a demo. Procurify says Purchase Requests rather than requisitions, and Vendor rather than supplier, although requisitions does appear as an API endpoint group. Precoro calls the same thing Intake. For the underlying process both are automating, see purchase requisition and approval automation.

The main differences

Precoro publishes prices and Procurify does not. Precoro is one of only two products in this entire category with real price floors on its own site: Core from 499 per month billed annually, Automation from 999 per month billed annually, Enterprise at custom pricing, and an AP Module from 499 per month billed annually. Three caveats. These are starts-at floors, so real cost is higher and unbounded from public information. Pricing is per plan per month rather than per user, with Core and Automation using tier-based user management and no numeric bands or minimums published, while Enterprise includes unlimited users. And the currency is an inference, not a stated fact: the page prints a bare dollar sign and never names a currency. USD is recorded here on two bases, that the FAQ on the same page says payments are accepted in US Dollars, British Pounds and Euros with other currencies negotiable, and that the contracting entity is Precoro Inc. governed by Delaware law. Precoro own terms state fees are payable in the currency stated in the applicable invoice or order form, so GBP or EUR pricing is genuinely available. Confirm the currency in writing. Procurify publishes no figure, no currency and no named tiers, offers no free version and no free trial, and its FAQ says pricing is determined by Pro users and distinguishes Basic from Pro.

Module breadth favours Precoro slightly. Its list runs Intake, Approvals, Orders, Receipts, Invoices, Payments, Budgets, Expenses, Suppliers, Contracts, Catalogs, Inventory and Reports, which is a broad footprint at this tier, with payments and inventory included. Procurify covers intake and purchase requests, approvals and approval routing, purchase orders, vendor management, a vendor portal, contract management, budget management, spend insights, expense management, accounts payable and PunchOut catalogues. The decisive difference is the supplier portal: Procurify names a Vendor Portal and Precoro names none anywhere, which is a real gap for a product otherwise this complete.

Integration coverage splits by accounting stack, and both are accounting-tier rather than large-ERP. Procurify names QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Sage Intacct, NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, plus PunchOut to Amazon Business, Staples Advantage, Home Depot, Grainger, Uline and ZAGENO. Xero, SAP and Oracle are not mentioned at all. Precoro names NetSuite, QuickBooks Online and Xero, plus Slack, Microsoft Teams and an SFTP connector. SAP, Oracle, Business Central and Sage are not stated. So Xero users should look at Precoro, and Business Central or Sage Intacct users at Procurify.

On APIs, Precoro is the more usable and Procurify the more candid. Precoro documents an HTTP and JSON API in its help centre with header authentication, endpoints including purchase orders, items, attachments, invoices and payments, pagination, and webhooks that notify you on add or update. Two blemishes: the help article never uses the word REST, documents the auth header inconsistently as X-AUTH-TOKEN in one place and X-AUTH-KEY in another, and the authoritative endpoint list sits in an external Postman collection. Procurify API is RESTful JSON with published endpoints and an OpenAPI specification file, but access requires contacting a representative, and Procurify states outright that its API does not support webhooks. That is a genuine published no, not an unknown, and it means event-driven integration is impossible and your integration must poll. Few vendors here publish a limitation that specific.

Not verified means the capability has not been checked for that product. It does not mean the product lacks it. Blank cells and unverified rows are never counted as a "no".

Strengths and limitations

Drawn from each product's own profile, where every item is labelled a verified fact or an editorial judgement.

Which to choose

Invoice matching is a grey area on both sides and should be probed in a demo. Procurify describes matching invoices to purchase orders but never names two-way or three-way matching. Precoro has Invoices and Receipts as named modules but no page names a matching model either, so it is recorded as unverified rather than assumed.

Choose Precoro if you run several entities, locations or projects and want a visible price before talking to anyone, if your finance system is Xero, or if webhooks and Slack or Teams integration matter operationally. Precoro states its own target plainly, procurement software for mid-sized companies with distributed operations, and that should be believed over the existence of an Enterprise plan. Choose Procurify if a vendor self-service portal is a requirement, if your stack is Sage Intacct or Business Central, or if your spend is largely catalogue-based through PunchOut, where the ZAGENO integration in particular points at life sciences and laboratory buyers. Rule out either if you need sourcing of any kind, or if your finance system is SAP or Oracle.

Frequently asked questions

No. Neither has RFQ, tender, bid comparison, bid scoring or auction capability anywhere in its navigation. Both are requisition or intake through to payment. If you need competitive sourcing, pair either with a dedicated e-sourcing tool such as Market Dojo, or look at Tradogram, which is the only product in this tier with a real RFQ module.

Precoro does not say on the pricing page, which prints a bare dollar sign and never names a currency. USD is recorded here as an inference, because the FAQ on that same page says payments are accepted in US Dollars, British Pounds and Euros and the contracting entity is Precoro Inc. governed by Delaware law. Precoro own terms state fees are payable in the currency stated in the invoice or order form, so confirm it in writing before budgeting.

Precoro, because it is readable and supports webhooks. Procurify API is documented but gated behind a sales conversation, and Procurify states outright that it does not support webhooks, so event-driven integration is not possible and your integration must poll. Precoro documentation has its own blemishes, including an inconsistently documented auth header and an authoritative endpoint list held in an external Postman collection.

Sources and review basis

Attribute values come from each product's structured profile rather than being written into this page, so a correction made once appears everywhere. This comparison was last reviewed on 7 November 2026. Assessment of this category is documentation-based, not hands-on testing of every product.
